Louis Yukimura was born and raised in France by Akira Yukimura and Beatrice De Grigny, a French witch. The daughter of a prominent Wizarding family, she was at the same social event with Mr. Yukimura. Louis’ father worked under the Ministry of Magic with the Department of International Magical Corporation and through his job there, he met the woman who would become his wife later on. It was exactly one year before he finally asked her hand in marriage; it was a very social affair with both his and her family being very happy with the proposed matrimony. It would take them another two years before they finally had their first child.
At the age of seven, Louis was forced into lessons by his father so he could better prepare himself when he got his letter from Hogwarts, a school recommended by a lot of his father’s peers. His father may not have been in Japan anymore, but he tended to hold a lot of traditional values from his first country and often rained it down on Louis with an iron fist. The reason why the youngster’s boggart is his father is because he grew up with that kind of strict discipline. He doesn’t hold any ill bearing towards his old man because his father generally is a mild mannered person, and he is one never to refuse Louis his other wants and needs. The boy would often insinuate that his father never really loved him, that Louis was just being groomed into the next heir to his father’s estates and such. But he constantly does his best to make his father proud, hoping that one day his father will look at him as an equal and not just as a child anymore.
His relationship with his mother is softer and more emotional; she is kind to him and would often take him out on little dates. She is the hand that tends to his wounds and ill feelings, the opposite of his father. One of the things that he loves about his mother is that she would whisk him away to the Muggle world for their little dates. This was her way of trying to show him that there is more to the world than books and the four corners of his study room. One of the things that astounds him in the Muggle world is that their pictures never move, and he pestered his mother constantly about it because it just seem so odd to him.
Louis has a three year old sister named Aimee whom he loves very much. His relationship with the baby girl is nothing short but overprotective and adorable. He treasures Aimee very much, even if he doesn’t say it out loud. When she was five months old, his mother caught him talking to the little girl— “… You should never date… please stay cute forever, okay imouto?”—which made his mother’s heart melt a little at the sight.
Louis has shown a strong affinity to both Potions and History of Magic. Potions made sense to him as a young boy because for him, everything is nothing short of a balance. He discovered this kind of thinking when his father talked to him one time, telling him the oriental belief and in Yin and Yang, creating connections between the four elements of the world. He applied his understanding towards Potions.
His constant achievements in academics and his being the first born son of the family has made him a very pompous individual, a trait that is not well received among his peers. Apart from his achievements, he can speak three languages: French, English, and Japanese.
The boy has shown a talent for being a very good Beater; however, he was forbidden to join his House's Quidditch team because of his father’s strict orders. He holds a secret contempt towards people holding the Beater position.
The boy is tall and a bit lanky; he’s been called “zaru” (Monkey) by his Japanese counterparts and father because of this. He can never gain muscle to save his life, and this is a source of frustration for him. This clashes very strongly with his very tough guy persona; unconsciously, he makes up for his lack physique with his brains and brash personality. Despite all of this, he a softer side to him which is something he only shows to his sister and mother.
The more charming aspects of his personality lie in his work ethics and assertiveness. A lot say he is a prodigy, but that's not true; he was just ingrained with a very impressive work ethic at a young age. It carried through his older years and helped him achieve his good grades. His assertiveness goes hand in hand with his persevering values, although they only work in class. When applied with the social circles, it seems like he falls flat and disastrous results would ensue.
On the negative side, his two main sins are his being conceited and his lack of tact. Just like his positive traits, these two things often go hand in hand. He does try his best to get friends, but they are always put off by his brash statements and way-too-honest opinions. The reason he brushes off friendship and social contacts is mainly because people always take him the wrong way—although with good reason. Instead of trying to change his habit, he always decides to stick with it, thinking that they got him wrong all the time, and that they are the ones who don’t understand.
+ hardworking, assertive
- conceited, tactless
