“It must’ve been a wild night last night, most of the time sleep does the trick.”
“There’s so much you miss when you’re sleeping, though.”
lolaintherye:
“That sounds like the best plan I could come up with,” Lola laughed. “I would love that. I love your energy, sugar!” She exclaimed, feeling as though she’d found a kindred spirit. “Sounds like a pretty big fire to me. I’m in.”
“That’s the only kind of plan I’m ever making, if I’m being totally honest. I love yours, too, I told you that I’m going to keep you, didn’t I?” Athena said with a wink. “Watch out, Baltimore.”
sophpng:
“Yeah, but I kinda left early.. it wasn’t my type of party. Oh, tequila is fun.. especially when its taken in shots.. and margaritas too. I’m always a slut for vodka though.” Sophie giggled and pushed her hair behind her ear. “I have a water bottle, if you want it? I think it’ll be a good night as long as you remember it, though the hangover is another bad factor. I’m Sophie. Nice to meet you, Athena!”
“Nah, I get that, sometimes you just don’t fit in with the party’s vibe. My favorite part about tequila is chasing it, the whole salt and lime thing always makes it feel like a game. Nah, I’m good. I don’t feel a thing, my mom and I both hardly ever get hungover. We’re sort of weird that way, I guess. Nice to meet you.”

Campbell was always the manager with the lowest sales, mostly because he was honest. If you could find it cheaper somewhere else, he’d tell you; if there was a scratch on the vinyl, you’d know; and if it was shit, Cam had no problem letting you know. “Well, if you like that, I could recommend a hell of a lot more to you.” Cam was suddenly excited, considering the majority of the other girls– or boys, even–  realized that his music taste and job were both dead ends. Campbell wasn’t too concerned about his future, nor did he waste his time worrying about a career or anything revolving around that. The time would eventually come, and when it did, he’d be open to anything. “Is there? I guess I’ll have to find out then.” he shrugged with a smile, fully intrigued. The two seemed to be hitting it off quite well, and Campbell was always interested in making connections with people. “That’s cool though– the traveling and homeschool thing, I mean. Was it fun and everything?”Â
It was true, that people were more alluring when talking about whatever they were passionate about. Athena smiled at his enthusiasm, responding with the same brightness. “Recommend away! I can’t promise I’ll buy all of it, since I’m sort of poor, but I’ll try to listen to all of it and come back to buy them one by one.” It would take her forever, Athena knew, but if there was anything worth her time, it was the hunt for good music, a song to dance to, a song to fall in love with. Perhaps it was because it was Cam’s job to know music, but regardless, she trusted him with this — and that wasn’t something she freely gave out. “Looks like you do,” she said smoothly, shrugging her shoulders daintily. “It was fun, yeah. Traveling is my one true love. It’s sort of shitty to be stuck in one place, but there’s not much I can do without money. But I’d love to go out of the US eventually. What about you, have you traveled anywhere?”
caspartho:
“Have any other ideas? I think I’ve become immune to caffeine..”
“Maybe some spiked coffee? Or even a good nap will do the trick. That was always what I did when I was too bored to study.”
samk-g:
“Uh… parties aren’t really my thing. Sounds like fun though. Special occasion, or… just a whatever kind of thing/”
"Have you had a bad experience, or have you just never had a life changing party in your life? Because we should change that, whichever option it is. It was for fun, what other special occasion do I need?”
sophpng:
“I’m actually not that surprised.. you drank a butt load of tequila last night. Have you drank water? Its for hangovers.. you know, so you can prevent one from happening.”
“Oh, were you there? Tequila is always fun, you never really know exactly what kind of drunk you’ll get. Yeah, I’m pretty good with hangovers and water. It’s not a good night if you feel like shit afterwarts, that sort of ruins the whole point of going out. Thanks, though, you’re sweet. What’s your name? I’m Athena.”
lolaintherye:
“Ain’t you just a ball of good energy? Clearly I’m gonna need to put this theory to the test. What are you doing later tonight? I’m off for the night so I’ll be around. –Oh, that’s a mighty big promise to be makin’ sugar, I’m a handfull.”
“Tonight, I was planning on riding the wind — so I’m down for whatever comes my way, basically. You and I should give Baltimore something to remember, yeah? People have said the same thing about me, so maybe we’ll end up being better together than apart. Fire feeds fire, right?”
hiheydb:
“Thanks for the invite, dude.”
“I would have, but what can I say — I’m selfish. My friends can only be my friends, you know?”
tinycameron:
“Oh, um, do you need some help?”
“Only if you’re willing to walk me to the nearest Starbucks, because I need some coffee to clear my head.”
arsenhfs:
“Whatever you say. M’ names Arsen. And what about you, not hungover stranger?”Â
“Arsen, I love it. I’m Athena. I swear I’m not lying, I have a God-given gift of never getting hungover — unless I get just blackout shitfaced, and that’s not a fun time for anyone so I try to avoid that.”
lolaintherye:
“Who doesn’t want to make a quick friend? Athena, that’s a lovely name. I’m Dolores–but please, just call me Lola, a.k.a. the woman infinitely jealous of you for never being hungover–though my usual cure is just to get drunk again.”
“Is there any better kind of friend? No, exactly. Well, Lola, the only trick to not get hangovers is to go out with me, obviously. You’re exactly the kind of person I like to keep around, so I think I’m going to do just that — I’m going to keep you.”
shutupcam:
Campbell could feel the blood rush to his cheeks, through he brushed it off and grinned madly towards Athena in hopes that it would be avoided. “So long as it’s one of the many reasons.” he spoke, far too satisfied with himself and their flirtatious demeanor. There was nothing wrong with messing around and having a little fun at work, right? Cam tended to be much more charming while behind the register at his job, knowing that it would not only benefit the store by himself as well. It also didn’t hurt to meet new people and have interesting conversations; plus, Athena didn’t seem half bad. “Noted, and much appreciated,” he started up again. “And I’ll be sure to repay the kind gesture– most definitely because you’re cute.” Cam made sure to smirk her way, yet still beam in her presence. He wasn’t all flirt, mainly because there was some sincerity behind it. Campbell was friendly, even if it tended to get him into trouble at times. “Psh, neither did I,” he replied with a chuckle. “School was never my thing. Honestly, that’s probably why I’m here.”Â
Usually, the first hint of a blush turned Athena off — she wasn’t a fan of the doe-eyed, naive stranger. But it was hard to see Cam as anything close to that image, and the pink cheeks only made her want to get to know him even better. “Of course there’s more than just one reason; you did choose an album for me to buy. Even if that’s your job, that’s a pretty bold move. I like it.” She laughed at his compliment, enjoying the unexpected conversation. It was easy for Athena to get someone talking, but it wasn’t always this much fun. “There’s more to me than just my good looks you know,” she teased, tossing her hair back. “I’m the same way. I mean, moving around every few months makes it sort of hard to pay attention to books. I was homeschooled, and my mom didn’t really give a shit about that sort of thing. She was more of a learn-by-experience kind of teacher.”
arsenhfs:
“Or hungover. You all right, there?”Â
“Me? Hungover? Never. Who are you, pretty stranger?”
lolaintherye:
“I’ve been there–hell, I’m usually there. You’ll be alright. Just enjoy it before the hangover kicks in.”
"A kindred spirit, then. I feel like we should be fast friends. I’m Athena, and I’ve actually never been hungover in my entire life — lucky genes, I guess.”
brycefxk:
“Woah, be careful. These steps are slippery…”
"Don’t worry, big boy, I’m sure I’ll figure out a way to catch myself if I fall. It’s sweet of you to worry, though. I’m Athena.”
samk-g:
“Rockin’ the night alone, or was there a party?”
“There is nothing sadder than getting drunk alone. It was a party, yeah. Thankfully not at my place, but somewhere close. Next time, you should totally come.”
