no age in bio, posts stating they clearly understand that asexuality is a spectrum and people can write smut and consume porn, states that they don’t want to see anything nsft or nsfw, and still clicks on an 18+ blog with an asexual tag, an nsft and nsfw tag and 18+ tag post to call someone nasty…
what a community of understanding and loving individuals
daily affirmations
you arent allowed to kill ppl
murder wont solve your problems
torturing the ppl you hate wont fix you
people talking about aspd and npd like we are some sort of urban legend DRIVESS ME CRAZZYYYY
girl i promise you im human. i wont evaporate when you look away. im not gonna haunt you. you can calm down its okay
I know u said accommodating people with low empathy doesn't mean tolerating being treated like shit.but the problem is that egotypicals will act like every little thing a person with low empathy dose thats outside there comfort zone is the end of the fucking world
I think we should believe victims if they say their abused, but egotypicals and people with internalized ableism accuse people with low empathy of abuse just bc theyee uncofortable; not bc the person with the pd was ACTUALLY abusive. And I m not saying this is ALWAYS the case but its happened too my friends who I know aren t abusive
Some things pwpds have been accused of abuse four include: pwASPD manipulating they're partner which they had no control over (manipulation isn t always bad!!!), pwBPD splitting on their partner when they felt abandoned, pwASPD not being comforting enough too a suicidal person. No bigotry or physical abuse at all; just people with low empathy having the audacity too exist with out making themselvs palatable to egotypicals. Fucked up sense pwpds are MOST likley too be abused.
Egotypicals will always think that people with low empathy treat them "like shit" bc they ve been raised in a bigoted society where ✨empathy✨ is the most important thing in the world. Until they unlearn their bigotry they ll never stop thinking we re the bad guys for being different
very true.
our differences will forever be stigmatised and the way people with NPD, ASPD and/or low/no empathy are treated will always be in a way that is somehow less than human.
it’s disgraceful and the world we live in claims to be so pro-mental health support despite the fact that it almost never includes us.
small but peeved me… a girl was talking about bpd and being very vulnerable and open, talking about how she can be verbally abusive, just to end it with “but i’m not a narcissistic sociopathic asshole”
like. what the fuck
your video would have been lovely had you not just bashed your cluster b community like that…wow
Today I was chatting with two guys and mentioned I was aroace. It went a little something like this.
A: wtf is that
B: it means she’s not attracted to people in that way
A: bro you can’t just not pick a side, that’s crazy
B: nah, it just means she’s spectator mode
A: OHHH IT MAKES SENSE NOW
I have never felt more validated or laughed so hard
Asexuality win! Person who repeatedly pressured their ace partner to "compromise" on sex because it was "a necessary part of a healthy relationship" fucking dies. <3
you can be asexual and make porn btw. if you want. do whatever you want
people who interact with things with tags they know they should block can fuck off
also, everyone. put your damn age in your bio
you can always write disgusting pornography btw. if you forgot
i like the phrases "it's not for me," "it's not my thing," and "i'm not the target audience" because they're the most concise way to express "this thing that you enjoy has merits but idgaf about it" without being aggressive
Happy pride month specifically to folks on the asexual and aromantic spectrum who oftentimes feel isolated and left out of the conversation. You belong here as much as the rest of us and I hope that you are all loved in a way that is comforting to you.
The sentences "Asexuals can still have sex" and "Aromantics can still date" need to go up on the high shelf for everyone except aces and aros talking about their own experiences. From now on, everyone else has to use the revolutionary new phrase "Asexuals and aromantics can do whatever the fuck they want forever."
Edit: Critical Thinking Questions
Imagine as many different scenarios as you can where a person might tell someone "aros can still date" or "aces can still have sex." Pick two or more of these scenarios to compare. Does the meaning of these phrases change in different contexts? Do you think every speaker of these phrases has the same intent?
Do you think the topic of this post is an "aroace community" issue, or an "asexual community and aromantic community" issue? Do you understand which one of the above is a broader category?
Imagine a scenario in which an aromantic allosexual might be told that "aromantics can still date." In that context, would that phrase be affirming or delegitimizing? Repeat, but imagine a scenario in which an alloromantic asexual might be told that "asexuals can still have sex." In that context, would that phrase be affirming or delegitimizing? If you would like, you may now revisit your answer to Question 2.
Do you think "Asexuals and aromantics can do whatever they want forever" is contradictory to the statements "asexuals can have sex" or "aromantics can date"? If so, then why? If not, then why might OP prefer the phrasing of "do whatever they want forever"? What might "do whatever they want forever" encapsulate that the other statements do not?
Many users are relating this post to fandoms' treatment of asexual and/or aromantic fictional characters. Do you think people's views of real-life a-specs can influence their treatment of a-spec fictional characters? Conversely, do you think their views of a-spec characters can influence their treatment of real a-spec people?
Is the treatment of real a-spec people or of fictional a-spec characters more important? For the category that you considered less important, do you think the treatment of that category is ever relevant or related to how the more important category is treated? (You may reference your answer from Question 5.) Compared to the more important category, how much discussion do you think the less important category deserves? Do you think it may ever be relevant or important to discuss on posts about the category OP sees as more important?
i am so jealous of my friend sometimes. we visited someone and they had said their grandpa just died the day before. he was gentle and lightened the mood. i spoke maybe one sentence. he did the talking for the both of us, asked them if they wanted to play scorpion, a little hand game. that’s such a simple thing to offer and my brain could never have conjured it. this shit is so unfair
adhd will get you thinking "i should make this doctors appointment" every day for 7 months and counting
none of us are making those appointments huh
I told a friend that I have NPD and ASPD and that I don't feel friendships like normal and that I'm actually an asshole of a person, and they went "It's okay, you're still good underneath 🥰"
And then, one day, when I actually told them "I actually don't care about you that much"
They had a whole mental breakdown, I got called a dick, and then I lost my friendships
So much for understanding me. Thanks guys.
