I've seen "fuck the beauty industrial complex" posts about complicated skincare regimens and am 100% with them except sometimes they mention sunscreen and no. no. absolutely not. sunscreen is a wonderful supportive friend who wants to keep you safe, and you should let her do it. throw out all your other cosmetics and skincare products if you want, but keep your sunscreen. and if you're not wearing sunscreen, start wearing it!!!! this is not about terror of aging, this is not about every tiny imperfection our fucked-up culture has made you feel insecure about, this is about protecting yourself from skin cancer. wear the damn sunscreen.

The finale is very very very weird

I think I like it, but it's like watching a completely different show, and I'm very confused (not exactly in a bad way)

I actually had fun with Lestat's dinner table from hell! That was really cool!

And shoutout to Armand's out of proportion crashout of accumulated rage and despair. Hope he learns how to talk to people before letting it get to this point again.

the most beautiful thing about episode 6 to me is that it's by far the calmest lestat's narration has been the entire season: no skipping around, no "but I'm getting ahead of myself" *winds back*, no screaming muses, no flashbacks, just one night being told linearly from start to finish, even lestat's literal panic attack didn't focus on all the ways he was spiralling but on Louis and his reaction , "in the middle of my own fracturing" yet for the first time the cracks don't appear

despite everything, Louis calms lestat down, Louis is his anchor and I'm so so normal about that

Yk... considering what they did with Gabriella and Lestat's relationship, I'm glad they changed her character and she's not trans anymore.

Like, I really don't think we need a trans incestuous abuser who groomed her child, at the moment! "Trans people abuse children" is an incredibly popular take among transphobes.

At the moment, I'm kinda sad we didn't get to see Gabrielle from the books. She is a very interesting character, that I think is much better than the show's Gabriella. But if she was trans with that plotline, I would be grossed out.
