Don't even think on ruining Yoriichi's character. Rp blogs always do his character so dirty and we're so fed up of that shit.
Iâll try my best to portray Yoriichi with the utmost respect. I love Yoriichiâs character and it means a lot to me that I get him right. Iâm always willing to take criticism on my portrayal of canon characters because I know it wonât be perfect because I myself am not Yoriichi.
Ferd could not remember how he got here. Where... was 'here'...? His head ached something terrible,, and the dull throb pulsing on a high-ish left point on his forehead alerted him to be probably being knocked-out previously by blunt-force trauma,,,. A wetness was steadily dripping down his left brow, sticking his eyelashes with dark red with every blink. Ferd lifted his shoulder, and the light, metallic clink had him finally casting his gaze to his surroundings. Oh.
There was somebody slumped behind him, the reason for the heavy weight leaning against his back, but he couldn't make out their face with the angle and how black fuzz was eating the edges of his vision,,. Distantly Ferd registered the steady rocking and clinking of a train's movement as he blinked. He licked his lips, noting how chapped and cracked they were despite him last remembering them soft under a layer of peach chapstick... and opened his mouth a crack, wincing as it pulled at his skin. ".....Wha.....-?"
Atlas let out a small breath of relief, glad that his fellow captive was at least in a cognitive state at the moment, "Good..." he would murmur, his voice soft before he took a moment to take in a few shaky breaths to ease his headache. "Atlas," he would carefully move to turn his body, grunting as a sharp pain shot up his spine from his tail, it seems the tip was trapped under the other's leg. "What shall I call you?" It was much easier for the slayer to shake the shock away, he often found himself in similar situations to this, though having an extra captive was a first. "I don't mean to sound ill-mannered, but you could help by moving off my tail."
The next question he was asked caused him to fall into silence, the soft thumping of the train on the rails filling the silence. His expression was one of uncertainty-he knew he wasn't really supposed to talk about his work, though he did seemingly drag the other into his mess. "I suppose it might be my fault...I was sent to gather some information and you had the misfortune of being caught up in it."

".....Wha.....-?"
A soft groan slipped past the raven-haired man's lips as he regained consciousness, abruptly becoming aware of the pounding pain that radiated from the back of his skull. What happened? That was the first question that ran through Atlas's mind as he felt a familiar warmth trickling down the back of his neck, making his hair clump together in sticky tufts.
What finally brought his focus back in was the sickly sweet scent of his own blood mixed with that of another. Who? Was the next question he asked himself as he attempted to raise his hand to caress the back of his aching head, his movements coming to a sudden stop when he felt the biting pull of steel against his flesh. His weight shifted ever so slightly as he let his eyes fall to the linked steel loops that connected his wrist to well...a wrist that wasn't his.
The young man opted for silence at the moment, letting his eyes scan around the room which was lined with wooden crates and carry-on bags of all shapes and sizes before his gaze settled over his shoulder. At this angle Atlas could only make out the blurry form of the other man, he would have moved to get a better look, but he didn't want to cause more harm if the other man had been injured.
"Are you alright?" he would croak out, his voice a little hoarse, a tinge of worry tangling through his words.
The Lowdown: Silence makes its way into the dwindling Rengoku Family
W/C: 1.4K
A/N: Decided to make a fic based on this HC I shared yesterday. Can y'all believe I'm capable of creating this within the span of an hour yet it takes weeks fro me to write a smut this long??? lmao anyway this is a bit sloppy and not really proofread. Didn't add any CW since I figured the HC would show you what this will contain. ANYWAY ENJOY
Silence was the only thing that filled the air around the three people. There was once people amassing around one singular person, low mutters carried in the cold wind but now only three remained. Two of them stood side by side, mind numbing silence stuck between them while the third did nothing but be cold in the unforgiving earth. Blue petals from the wisteria tree that the third person laid under danced and filled the space, a few of them landing in the two beings' hair and on their shoulders that adorned the dark fabric of their kuro montsuki haori hakama.Â
With nothing more than a huff, the older of the two walked away from the grave, fists curled and nails digging in their palms itching for a bottle to hold. There were never tears in his eyes, not when the third person finally succumbed to their illness, when the funeral took place and not when he and his now only son stood before the deceased. Nothing came out, not even words. To anybody else, they would have painted him as nothing more than a drunken, selfish and insensitive father; what kind of person scowls at the funeral of their youngest? But, to the trained eye of the other person that stayed at the grave, he knew exactly what was going on in his fatherâs mind. A ravaging and deafening storm of sorrow, anger and emptiness swirled in the older manâs head. Nothing could quell such a thing besides the very liquid that he took comfort in when the first grave was made many years ago.Â
The other person, however, the one that stayed behind, simply looked down at the grave with empty eyes. He too didnât cry during the funeral but he did cry when the person took their last breath; his cries barely audible as he gripped the cold and tiny hand of his younger brother. No color was present on the manâs face as his mind was plagued by a single sentence that seemed to echo in his ears. Thereâs nothing left. There would be no more âAniue.â No more âWelcome back brother.â No more âTell me about mother.â None of that. The young man knew that the only thing that would fill the now silent house was the creaking of the floorboards and the occasional shattered glass and drunken speeches about how useless and talentless both he and his father were. Slowly lowering himself to his knees, the young man continued to gaze at the stone that held his brotherâs name and the length of his short life.Â
Nothing but fatigue filled his bones, the chill of the wind adding to his misery. Tears began to bubble in his incandescent eyes as the gravity of the situation once more washed over him. He did his best to keep his emotions at bay when the people came over to give their condolences and to shed a few tears to him; all of which he handled with a small smile and words of reassurance. Long awaited tears graced the manâs crimson cheeks, his rough hands covered his sorrow stricken face while loud, guttural wails left his soul; the young man finally succumbing to the entirety of his emotions.Â
The wails could practically be heard from the farthest reaches of the earth, the grief stricken sounds even causing the nearby birds to stop their nest building and listen to the manâs nonverbal plea to the heavens. A plea that asked for his brother back, to hear his laughter when stories were told, to see those giant eyes look up at him in both admiration and wonder. A plea that held anger, anger towards his ancestors and to his mother, for planting the seeds and allowing the affliction to take hold of his precious baby brother.Â
Hugging himself, the manâs sobs transformed into that of hyperventilation, his mind reeling in disbelief and delusion as his chest felt pulsating pain. Shaking his head as if to reject the very notion, the very belief that his brother was gone. Unruly eyebrows furrowed in both anger and sorrow as his throat started to burn from his cries. But despite the pain, the tears, the snot and the drool from his agape mouth, the man continued to cry out; absolutely desperate for the high heavens to hear him. He never prayed for anything, never did good things for the sake of getting things in return, never acted selfishly. But in this moment, he wanted to be absolutely selfish. He didnât care if it was unfair for his brother to be brought back and not the deceased loved ones of others. He didnât care if he would be the only one to hug and cherish his once deceased loved one if the heavens ever granted his wish.Â
For hours the man sat there, his wails finally putting his throat out of commission however that didnât stop him from releasing hoarse groans from his chapped lips. His cheeks and eyes stung from the dryness his tears inflicted upon them while a troublesome headache formed in his head, pounding incessantly. His kuro montsuki was wrinkled from where his nails dug into his arms, deep red crescents present on his biceps. His rose dusted nose sniffled as he finally stopped, too tired to continue pleading with the gods. Instead, he sat there in total silence until the sun kissed the horizon on its way to the other side of the world.Â
Meanwhile, the other man seemed to be frozen in time, nothing but the steady beating of his heavy heart moving in his room. He sat alone in his room, hand clutching his precious sake bottle, however he never made a move to drink it ever since he picked it up. Instead, he sat there and listened to his son, absorbed with the emotion that he brought out. He didnât know what was wrong with him, he didnât know why he couldnât cry like his son, not even a single tear escaped him. The older man wanted to cry, he wanted to get on his knees and repent, to grovel before his sonâs spirit and release hot tears from his dull eyes. But he just- couldnât. So instead, the man sat there in total darkness and stared at the shoji, letting his last remaining son do the crying for him.Â
Once his son stopped his wails, the man finally began to move and opened his shoji just an inch, his eyes resting on the pitiful scene of his son curled in on himself in front of the grave, hoarse and eerie groans resounding in the garden. The man had never seen his son this way, not even when the first grave was placed, memories of watching his son from the corner of his eye shed silent tears before his motherâs body filled the older manâs head.Â
Gritting his teeth, the man closed the shoji as long awaited tears gave his eyes a shiny film. But despite the tears finally coating his cheeks and running down his stubble covered chin, the man remained silent; no wails, sniffles or groans emitting from him. Rough hands created fists upon his knees as the man hung his head, eyes watching his tears create small dots on his clothes. It was just him and his eldest now. His eldest, the one that always faced death on a daily basis. The one that was supposed to die first, the one that had the means of dying young. Folding his arms on his knees and burying his head in the crook he created, the man began to mourn for two people now.
His other son was destined to die, sooner or later. That was a truth he couldnât deny. And he would truly be left alone then, silence being his only companion. In a sense, the man saw it as his divine punishment, the consequences of his negligent and abusive behavior to his children. To him, it was what he deserved, what he would deal with for all eternity.Â
The two men that stayed behind and looked at the third person under the earth learned to live with the silence, learned to survive with the silence until one of them joined the third person, leaving the last person to their lonesome. And years after, when the world continued to thrive and grow in deafening noise and more people, the last person finally joined the others in the loneliness of his house. Silence forever being the only occupant left.

I compiled a short list of some questions that I hadnât seen yet to help you (and me) have some fun while developing OCs. Feel free to answer these yourself, or ask someone else!
1. How does your OC feel about their full name?
2. What do strangers notice about them first?
3. How does their social personality differ from how they act when theyâre alone?
4. How do they act around a crush?
5. Do they have a âtellâ for when theyâre lying?
6. What do they smell like?
7. What is their hair texture like?
8. How much jewelry do they wear, and do they have a favorite or distinguishing piece?
9. Do they have a word or phrase that they tend to overuse?
10. What is a weird quality that they have (ie their hands are always cold, theyâre always hungry, they snort when they laugh, etc)?
11. What color do they look strikingly good in?
12. How do they show affection to someone they love?
13. Do they make strong/frequent eye contact when they talk to someone?
14. What attributes do they have that are inherited from their parents or shared with their siblings/other relatives?
15. Are their greatest flaw and their greatest strength related and in what way? (ie very caring and helpful but a doormat, or very observant and shrewd but often paranoid)
16. How has their childhood affected the way they view an aspect of their life (people, education, society, themselves, etc)?
And thatâs all! Remember to reblog with your answers, Iâm genuinely curious to hear about other peopleâs characters/writing processes!
Part II: https://liliamoon.tumblr.com/post/671647292219097088/oc-asks-part-ii
âI made you a sweater, it took ages so I hope you like it.â The sweater however, looked incredibly itchy and one sleeve was a bit longer than the otherâŠat least he tried.
@shinjuro-rengoku-ask
Without hesitation, the old man put the sweater on, and smoothed it out. It fit well enough, even with one sleeve being longer than the other, âI love it,â he said with a soft smile, taking deep and slow breaths, trying to resist the urge to scratch, âI got you some chocolates, and I baked a cake.â
The younger man would watch Shinjuro eagerly, a cheesy grin plastered on his lips as he proudly watched his sweater being worn. âI knew you would,â he would clasp his hands together, his tail wagging like an excited puppy. He was even more excited to hear the word chocolates and a little worried when he heard that Shinjuro baked a cake. âOh, you know I love sweets! Youâre so sweet!â
He blushed a little, sneakily scratching his arm, disguising it as him pulling the sleeve down before handing Atlas the box chocolates, âYouâre sweeter, I hope you enjoy these chocolates, and the cakeâ he was rather excited to show off the cake he mostly baked - while Senjuro supervised.
The moment the box touches his hands Atlas is already taking the top off, picking one of the little caramel chocolates before popping it in his mouth. With his mouth still full from the chocolate he would half choke out, âShow me the cake!â He is excited to see the cake, though he half expects it to be burnt.
