For weeks I’ve been wanting to work on a custom Furby idea that has been dancing around in my head. I’ve never done anything this extreme for any of my Furbies yet, so it was a really interesting and fun experience!
First I had to get my hands on a Frog Furby, which took some time because most of the ones I saw pop up were all rather expensive or weren’t functioning.
This is what she looked like when she arrived!
And here she is now!!! Please welcome Clover Coppershine to the family!!!
Story: Clover is seriously a dream come true! The idea for her has been rolling around in my head for what feels like forever, so to be able to finally see her finished makes me incredibly happy! She is also fully functioning!!!
Clean Up / Customization: Clover got a bath almost right away. It took me a little while to decide on the perfect wings, which were hand-crafted by EnchantedFae3 on Etsy. Her original eyelashes were a disaster so I removed them and replaced them with fake lashes by Ardell Professional, specifically the 3D fauxmink 853. Her crown is made from thrift-ed mushrooms, ivy leaves, and blossoms and wrapped in floral tape. And her necklace is made from tiny beads and a leaf-shaped pendant that I got from craft stores.
Honestly, these pictures don’t do her wings ANY justice!

I just had to take her for a photo-shoot outside!
One of the coolest things about her design is that her wings are removable!
I stitched 2 square “pockets” inside her so that I can slip tiny magnets in and out of them. Then I super-glued a magnet onto each wing. All I have to do is touch them to her back and they snap into place!
The frame of the wings is made of wire, so they are ever so slightly bendable. And because the wings are attached with magnets, I can change their positions!
This was my favorite photo that came from her outdoor photo-shoot!
It was also really cool seeing how the sunlight filtered through her wings!

Anyway, I’m SO pleased with Clover that I could cry! She came out better than I expected. I’m shocked that all my ideas actually worked!
