Danez Smith, Don't Call Us Dead
love comes at a cost. sometimes the cost is larger than life. sometimes the cost affects you like it has never affected before.
i have heard love is supposed to be simple, love(less) 2023
I wish I could know the intensity of black hole, a metaphor to describe how deep I feel. For now, I'm half a mile deep into the black sky and none of the stars are visible.
I don't know what I want in life anymore. I want to escape whatever life has to offer at this point and just live and breathe and watch blue sky all day.
A window so wide i could jump into it and escape reality.
I just want to feel normal. Why does everything have to be so complicated in order to survive in this world?
It's so lonely in the world, life happens and you move on. How do you find new people to talk to, how do you do it without looking like an intruder!
the expressions of love sometimes are so minute that you don't even feel they exist but in moments like these you understand the real meaning of life and connection and love that comes all the way to you in forms you could not have imagined.
Love in every moment, in presence and absence
— Vladimir Nabokov, Gods ("The Stories of Vladimir Nabokov")
Aggghhhhhhhhhh
— Kim Visda, from “For Lack Of A Better Poem.”
I wanted to say so much that i could not because nobody taught me to speak from the heart
This kind of hollowness that makes you want to cry but also stay strong because it's a new feeling you have discovered.
You don't know how to deal with it because you were so much used to it that it's absence makes your heart skip a beat.
Life gives you everything one moment and the next moment, you're on your own.
This emptiness one day is going to eat whatever's left inside and leave you hollow so when the winds are hard, you will be torn into pieces so many; life.
we came to dead end everytime
was it my stubbornness or your betrayal?
was it me in daydream with my heart up on my sleeve while it was too late
i think about it a lot.

[Text ID: well... define hurt. Because I can't tell if I'm dull to it or if it is just everywhere. /End ID]
— Virginia Woolf, from “Carlyle’s House and Other Sketches.”
Every leaf that falls never stops falling. I once thought that leaves were leaves. Now I think they are feeling, in search of a place— someone’s hair, a park bench, a finger. Isn’t that like us, going from place to place, looking to be alive?
Victoria Chang, from The Trees Witness Everything; “Passage”
