Been showing my SO Game of Thrones in a sort of humorous cultural postmortem. It's been a ton of fun, especially because I get an excuse to gab about the books at length.

So happy one of his favorite characters is Ramsay Bolton. Yet every time the Boltons are on screen, I can't help but mention that I wished they all wore pink like in the books.

Game of Thrones' costume designs are overhated, in my opinion, but they do have some definite cardinal sins. The decision to have House Bolton wear red and black instead of pink I think was a major misstep in the interest of catering to audience expectations. In the right hands, the viewership would've learned to FEAR THE PINK. It's supposed to look like they're wearing flayed skins, guys, c'mon!

This is slightly confusing but I tried to make it make sense.

I find it very interesting how people react to shippers based on what they themselves think is the meaning of shipping. For me personally, it's a spectrum from finding a non-romantic relationship entertaining up to thinking the shipped people are soulmates.

love that the Melisandre vs Davos beef is completely onesided. Okay, she got him thrown into prison once, but he did intend to off her. Like it's clear she respects him, and was worried for his sons, and fundamentally thinks of him as a good man, she even propositions him(for blood ritual threesome)! She just has a very ominous way of showing it. Meanwhile Davos' single attitude towards her is Jealous BitchTM
