waah itās been a while I had a lot of computer issues, built my computer, and then had to completely adjust to a different program and well itās been a wild ride.
So have a reference picture I did of Luteās tats! Iām still learning CS6 but eventually Iāll pump out actual art soon that isnāt rough reference pieces.Ā
Both of my kids had their birthdayās this month so I was rather absorbed with free time making sure both of those were handled + my daughters exhausting social life + hubby going to GDC + getting ready for Easter + getting SICK AGAIN holy moly. It doesnāt help that california has pooped pollen everywhere. And. My computer appears to be on itās last legs, but Iāve been slowly buying components for my new rig and Iām down to just buying a processor and graphics card before I can assemble it.Ā
In my free time I have been printing up pictures of mushrooms and chilling at Starbucks and coming up with designs based off of them for a project of mine. Heās one design from the bunch Iāve done thatāll carry over to a finished product! Hope yāall like cute mushroom girls cause thatās totally happening.Ā

So in line with my other post, I got asked about game artist stuff and wanted to talk about it. Specifically, art jobs within the games industry. Specifically specifically,jobs NOT relating to āconcept artist.ā
Thereāsnothing wrong with being a concept artist ā not in the least! ā but I did want to highlight other job possibilities for students or recent graduates out there, tools they use currently, and how to best prep yourself for them (in addition to standard art training, of course). I spoke with some friends of mine, getting ahold of Lynda Miller (3D artist at Goon Studios; past ROBLOX) and Bryanna Lindsey (FX artist/animator at Volition; past ZeniMax Online, Disney Interactive). I come from being an Environment Artist at EA Mobile, past UI Artist at Blue Shell Games, 2D Artist at Gamzee, and several others.
NOTE - these are obviously not all of the other jobs. Iād love to go into more detail on the others ā if thereās a demand, Iāll see if I can hunt some folks down and what I can find!

sometimes I'm really motivated to draw but everything I attempt to get out of my head comes out terribly, so I take my time trying to do something random in someone else's style. Often times I don't like it but I'm kind of fond of this one.
I'm a mega big fan of melstringerart ! her girls are sooper cute so I wanted to draw one.Ā
....still awake yeah. Quick thing of Azzy again. This is pretty close to what her color scheme will be cause the thing that attracted me toĀ porcelain fungus was not the color (obviously) but how shimmery they are and translucent with strong lighting. I'll have a better idea on how to do the shimmery bit later on. For now photoshop now crashes on me if I use anything but a basic round brush 8c so... I'm super limited on painting options.Ā
I've spent the past few days drawing in my sketchbook hence partly the lack of uploads (plus my little man being kinda cranky as heck). But anyways, I was hashing out a redesign for Azzy and Teetu and I think I found something I like that's both simple but extremely contrasting between them. Changed Azzy's fungus type entirely,she's now a porcelain fungus. Not too certain what kind of wildflower Teetu is yet- so her petal shape might change.Ā

Seriously this gal is amazing with her painting and character expressions and you should be giving her a follow! Most of this art you can find on her tumblr except the last one (which I put the watermark on for her hence it not matching the set). My comments on them are ridiculous but Iām terrible at expressing sentiment beyond being an incoherent spaz or sounding like a robotic hallmark card thereās no in-between.
This lady has been rooting me on through thick and thin through the past couple (really difficult) years. You are the jelly to my peanut butter and a huge inspiration. Iām super thankful for you.
