…the blurb on Noether is incorrect.  When Germany’s Nazi government hounded her out of academia (for being Jewish) she moved to the US and taught at Bryn Mawr.  This was not secret.  The secret teaching was earlier in her career, well before the Nazis came to power.

Why must time and again the Jewishness of several of the women on this list be erased.

Hedy Lamar, Rosalind Franklin,  Lise Meitner, Emmy Noether, Ursula Franklin, and Vera Rubin are all Jewish.

I mean Vera Rubin is very public about this.

I’m getting sick of how many times there will be a thing about famous women scientists and there will be Jewish women on the list with their Jewishness totally and utterly erased.
