If we're all going to be stuck here together, we might as well do something useful. So, from now on, we will be using code names.
What the bloody hell are those first years doing?
Oh goodness, when isn’t he? No matter what it is, I’m sure he’ll come around. I mean, you guys are best mates and the poor guy won’t survive a week without you. I wouldn’t worry too much about it if I were you. *Alexxa offered the girl a comforting smile, hoping to lighten her mood*
"Here's hoping. I'm hoping I can corner him at breakfast tomorrow and make him talk to me." Alice smiled wanly back at Alexxa. "But enough about Pratty Potter, he's brought down my mood enough already. Do you have any other plans for the weekend?"
"I’ve got a whole stack of them upstairs in my trunk. Feel free to have a look- just don’t bend the spines or I swear,” Clio’s voice trailed off, shaking her head from side to side at the mere thought but stopping once she absorbed her housemate’s words. "Last night? Tell me, who was it?"
"I won't, I swear on Ravenclaw's diadem." Alice held up her hand, then grimaced slightly. "You know Higgs, that really muscular blonde that used to be on the Slytherin quidditch team? Him. Not my finest moment, but it was a worthy venture. Don't tell anyone. Assuming that everyone's not gossiping about it already."
What the bloody hell do you want?
James’ head whipped back, his eyes closed as he fought to flush out the pain. Keep going. He had to keep going before Aidrik had another chance to dish out one more blow. "That’s not what happened to Atalia." James hissed, stumbling forward to latch onto his shoulder. With a single, fluid motion, he sent his fist hurtling forward until it met the other boy’s gut with a satisfying umpf! "Think after what happened in the library, I’m going to believe whatever bullshite you spew?" He shook his head from side to side and scoffed, ending this thought with a final shove.
Aid stumbled backward, stomach turning, enraged that James had the balls to bring up Atalia. "You have no fucking clue what you’re talking about there, Potter. I don’t care if you believe me about Alice or not, but don’t talk about things you have no clue about." He dropped his clenched fists down by his sides and looked about the room, spotting a very familiar blonde girl walking into the Great Hall, unaware of what she was about to land herself in the middle of. He raised his hands up into a surrender for a moment, then in a flash punched James once again. "You might want to learn to think before you speak." He glanced toward where Alice stood near the huge doors, frozen in horror as she stared at the two of them. "Bet you don’t have the balls to finish me off, Potter." He goaded, waiting for another blow.
It hadn't been unexpected, the eyes on her and the whispers as she descended the stairs toward the Great Hall. After all, rumours had a way of circulating quickly around Hogwarts, and she had no doubt people were already gossiping about what, or whom, she had been doing in the dungeons the previous night. Just as she hit the bottom of the staircase, Fred Weasley burst out of the Great Hall, looking around wildly. He spotted her within a few seconds and waved in a quick greeting before pointing his thumb at the hall, and then telling her there was something in there that she was going to want to see. Smiling a little, Alice stepped into the Great Hall and began to walk toward the Ravenclaw table when an ongoing ruckus caught her attention. Ever the gossip, Alice turned her attention in the direction of the noises to find James and Aidrik Higgs screaming and throwing punches at each other. Her stomach dropped, and she stared in dismay at the sight. So much for a nice breakfast. She quickly gathered her wits and stalked in their direction, fury already brewing. She wasn't quite sure who it was going to be directed toward: James, for trying to fight her battles, or Aidrik, for punching her best mate. Maybe a little bit of both.
Fuck, Marry, Kill - Titus Monaghan, James Potter, and Colin Finnigan
"Well this is a bit of a sad lot." Alice sighed and shook her head at the paper. How the hell was she supposed to choose this? No matter how many rumours there were about her and James, they weren’t the type of friends who fucked on the side. "Merlin, all right. I’d fuck Monaghan. He’s got a terrible personality, but a nice face. I’d marry…" She trailed off. Something in the back of her head was telling her to say James, but she shook it off. "Colin. He’d be a great husband, I’d reckon. And I guess that mean I’d have to kill James, the prat." Oh well. He’d be more likely to forgive her for killing him than for shagging Aid Higgs when he’d told her not to anyway at this point.
I can't decide who's the bigger slut, you or Curay. Guess you don't need to solve a riddle to get into Ravenclaw afterall.
Merlin, there was another unsigned letter. She rolled her eyes upon seeing what it said, then pulled out her sharpest quill to write. "Darling, the answer is both. We're both the biggest sluts. Embrace it. Just don't pretend you're somehow more evolved because you have less sex. We're both more satisfied than you will ever be. Besides, you probably wouldn't be able to solve the riddle anyway with your pea-sized brain, nor would you be able to fuck your way in with your surely tiny dick."
Rumor has it, you were seen leaving from the dungeons late last night. What is a little bird doing in the house of the snakes?
Alice opened the letter and let out a sharp laugh. Apparently word travelled fast around these parts. What could she even say to this? Proving a point? Being an idiot? Being a spiteful shrew? While the decision still sat well with her in the bright light of day, the fact that James had yet to talk to her set her on edge. She'd hated being told what to do ever since... well... never mind that. James hadn't known, but how exactly could she tell him without him reacting the exact same way he had the previous night? She was her own god damned person, and could make her own decisions, James' opinion be damned. "It felt like a nice evening for a stroll in the dungeons. Can't a girl go exploring once in a while?"
What the bloody hell are those first years doing?
Alright, alright, alright. *Alexxa smiled, turning her head to look at her blonde friend* So, it’s been a while since we’ve talked. Anything new? I haven’t seen our oh-so-mysterious Potter friend around lately. You wouldn’t be keeping him captive now, would you?
"Nope. Actually, we're not on speaking terms at the moment. We had a fight, and I did something, and now he's being a bit of a wanker." Alice crossed her arms tightly over her chest and looked down, kicking at a loose stone by her foot rather than making eye contact with her friend.
Clio set her book down in her lap. Flobberworms could wait. "Well, it’s not exactly reading material fit for first years, I’ll tell you that." A smirk twisted across her lips and her eyebrow twitched, her features hinting at the mystery books’ content.
A wicked grin had crept it's way onto Alice's face as her friend spoke. "You're going to have to share this book with me when you're done. I've been deprived of things not fit for first years. Well... Except for last night, but I'm not really counting that."
"Those books had to be put on hold for the time being. Trust me," Clio sighed, flipping the page of the text dramatically, "if I had it my way I’d be nose deep in book with a little more heat."
"Ooh, tell me more." Alice lit up at the mention of heat, eager to hear what the other girl would rather be reading. "I hate having to set aside fun things for school. It's dreadful."
Clio sighed, rolling her eyes slightly at the disturbance as she turned the book in her hands. "Flobberworms from A to Z. It’s just so invigorating. I don’t know how to thank Professor Bonheur."
"Not exactly what I was expecting." Alice let out a laugh. "I had to read that last year. It's terribly boring, but survivable. I was hoping you were reading something more interesting than that." She crossed to the couch opposite the younger blonde and sat down, tucking her feet underneath her body and leaning so all the weight was off her bruised back.
"Care to explain why you’re breathing down my neck?"
"Just wanted to see what you were reading. You were so engrossed it had to be good."

What the bloody hell are those first years doing?
Ah! I’ve needed this for far too long. And it’s not like we have many more chances before you all leave me and go off from Hogwarts. *Alexxa quirked her eyebrow in interest* Oh really? I don’t know whether to be worried or excited..
"No! Don't say that! I don't want to think about that!" Alice laughed, carefree. "Be excited. Definitely be excited."
Kiss With A Fist || Alice & Aid
He was surprisingly easy to find, the bulky blonde with the terrible reputation. Alice had always been resourceful, and the secrets of the castle and it's inhabitants were practically open books for her to read, but finding Aid was exceptionally easy. An apparent altercation with his ex in the library had sent him shooting off into the depths of the castle, nowhere to be found. But Alice had learned long ago that, like a ripple in the water, rumours did a wonderful job of creating a trail after a person, and his was quite easy to pick up. Following the whispers and furtive stares had lead her down into the bowels of the castle, far past the deepest she'd ever made it on her own before.
The dungeons were dark, and moisture hung in the air, tense and deep. It would have been a lie to say Alice wasn't absolutely terrified. The dungeons were one of her least favourite places in the castle, closed in and spiralling deep into the earth. She much preferred the wide open airiness of the towers, was more at home with falling through the air than suffocating in the low light and stale air. And yet here she was, facing it without a second thought, and all to find a man accused of beating his girlfriend. What for? To prove something stupid to James? To exercise her freedom. She didn't even know any more, but she was a woman on a mission, and nothing could stop her.
Aid, on the other hand, was spiralling again. Without a plan or a course of action, he had fled to the dungeons. It was the only place he really felt like he could escape it all, deep under the ground. Sometimes he could close his eyes and pretend he was drowning somewhere in the lake, and that all of his problems would be over soon. Whatever it was that had just blown up between him and Atalia, it had only made things worse. They were already whispering about him again, the bloody rumour spreading bastards that did nothing but stare and gossip about him. By morning he'd have reached a whole new low. After all, rumours were one thing, but a live demonstration of a temper flying off the handle was something else entirely.
A million thoughts, a million actions flowed through his head, and he didn't know what he wanted to do more, slam his fist into the stones of the wall or slide down them until he was balled on the floor. Surely the first wouldn't help his already bruised and bloody knuckles, but loosing the rage building up inside of him would be a blissful release. The second would be peaceful, but deep inside he didn't truly know if he would be able to get up again after ward. As he turned to make a snap decision, a figure in the low firelight caught his eye and distracted him. She was tall and thin, all legs, with long blonde hair and brown eyes and- and a face recognized. What the hell was Alice Longbottom doing in the dungeons.
