Serissa smiles, taking the seat across from him after he says she can. âItâs very nice to meet you Atomu, Iâm Serissa Branwell.â She introduces herself, better not mention that she was a daughter of Aphrodite quite yet - if he figured it out - great, but sometimes it wasnât a good starter. âAlthough most people call me Seri, so feel free to call me that if youâd prefer.â It was her preferred name to be honest, but she didnât have any protests against her full name - it really depended on the person and their preferences.
Now, she imagined if someone called Ches, Hailey, it would mot be a pretty thing.
His phone keeps going off, and she doesnât comment, doesnât even react. Itâs not her place to - and anyway, her fatherâs phone went off constant - normally he would have excused himself and ditched her by this point, probably called his secretary to put a car on hold for her. âItâs okay. My dadâs a politician, you get used to the constant buzzing of phones - especially when he does something the people doesnât exactly like.â She admits, she didnât discuss her father too often - there wasnât much to discuss - he handed her money, she bought stuff - that was their relationship at this point.
After all, the first time she got into trouble he shipped her off to Camp Half Blood full time - there wasnât much communication for an actual relationship.
âIf you need to go handle whatever is causing all those emails - feel free. I understand.â
âSeri... Your name is close to Seru which in my language means to make someone or allow them to do something. Politicians,â Atomu paused making sure he said the word correctly in English. âAre Seijika. Iâm no politician. Besides why leave when I have better company here.â Atomu smiled to Seri and continued eating. âItâs beautiful. No matter which way you way it.âÂ
âDoes something the people doesnât exactly likeâ that was an understatement. Atomu had managed to piss off multiple generations and politicians alike. âThe people emailing me right now are in Japan where it is probably 2, 3 am. I doubt your father has managed to do something as bad as I have.âÂ
Atomu was going to do something he didnât necessarily want to do. Besides she wouldnât believe him or connect the pieces so he was fine. âIn western Economics you donât like what you call monopolies. Where one person owns everything and they are the richest?â Atomu paused looking to her to make sure she was keeping up. âIn Japan they are called Keiretsu where a person owns multiple companies creating one huge company they would own the steel and the technology to make say....â He grabbed his phone and held it up. âThat is a Keiretsu.âÂ
âMitsubishi! They are a good example they own the cars, Nikon, a glass company, banks, paper mill, electric, chemical and more.â Atomu was completely aware about how much Mitsubishi owned because they were competitors. Just as they were aware how much Mitsui owned. âI am not going to answer this,â He said as more emails popped up on screen in japanese. âBecause I donât care. Mitsubishi all of the Keiretsu they run the country. Why try?â Because he owned the second largest Keiretsu. which meant he had a slice of power he didnât want.Â
Smiling to himself Atomu looked to Seri and smiled to her. âTell me what you want. anything within reason. No flying off to other countries before lunch, iâll get it for you. As an usero yo your father. Ah, fuck off?âÂ
