Atomu shook his head although he was having trouble understanding some words he understood what she’d said. “A child can’t destroy a marriage. Even if its Omiai. What happened wasn’t you.” Atomu wasn’t sure if he parent’s had married for love, ren’ai, verses arranged, omiai, but since he was a politician Atomu assumed it would have been arranged even if western culture usually married for love. There were certain ways to keep a child marrying rich even if it was supposed to be love.
He smiled softly not saying anything. In a sense he had some power over america and being in america also helped him realize how much of a market there was. Usually people tended to stick with one type of brand in japan but here they would go back and forth and acquiring a few assets in different place would help his company.
“I had two half siblings who didn’t have… blood like us.” Atomu struggled with the right word to say. “They were amazing. But I have a brother here apparently I have a few that aren’t here though. It’ll be nice to have siblings again, not be completely alone.” With a fortune that made some people really never worry about money. As long as you could keep your business afloat. For Atomu the company slightly ran itself, and it was completely self sustaining.
Serissa shrugs, “I know, but I doubt my father sees it that way. Sometimes people blame others instead of themselves.” She tells him, “but enough about my father - he’s a rather dull subject - I assure you.” She didn’t want to discuss her father much more - because it could lead into her daddy issues - and she doubted anyone needed to hear about those currently.
“Were?” She echos, it taking a few seconds for the meaning to click. “I’m sorry. I can’t imagine... I haven’t, Ches lost her brother over the new year, but I couldn’t imagine how that feels.” She admits,”Who’s your godly parent? If you don’t mind me asking.. I might know your brother, I’ve been here a bit - so I know a few people.”
