There is a sort of unwritten rule for the Bats that you don’t tell Dick about somebody picking on you. Bruce, yes, at a push especially if somebody else is getting bullied as well and he will handle it through meetings with the principal etc. Alfred is sympathetic, he might even find some weak point of the kid like their mother’s affair with the pool boy for you to use and if not, he gives them his permission to hit them like a civilian, no undue force allowed (put the nunchucks away, Jason). Jason will always be ready to square up to any punk. Tim will hack their social media, find their profiles and lightly doxx them, nothing personal just those really embarrassing selfies. Damian will declare war on their bloodline.

Every time Bruce attends a Wayne Gala, something unhinged happens.

Year One: Joker crashes it. Year Two: Catwoman crashes it. Year Three: Clark Kent is his date and crashes it by being too earnestly hot in a tux and calling Bruce “baby” in front of Lucius.

Year Four is supposed to be peaceful.

Bruce walks in. Alone. Determined. Emotionally armored.

Fifteen minutes later he sees Clark—reporter Clark—interviewing a board member. Bruce tries to sneak away.

Clark: “Bruce! Mind giving us a quote?”
