the heritage foundation will be pushing hard for anti section 230 these coming weeks
From a valiant Twitter user by the name of @Omarsbigsister has found an article detailing that the heritage foundation will be making their push for sunsetting section 230
The heritage foundation will be pushing the lie of protecting children and “stop censoring conservatives”
The user points out the foundation wants to censor the internet from the stuff they don’t like
They say it’s in the name of “protecting people” but all it does is kill off the internet
“Do we really want the worst actors on the planet to dictate what you can and can't do online?
We HAVE to speak up.”
We have been hearing word that February will be the month that the foundation and others will push for the shut down of section 230 and the push age verification
DONT BE SILENT, BE LOUD
Push hard! Push back! Call your senators these next few weeks, fax them, send them letters, do as much as you can
Spread the word anyway you can, even if it’s small, it’s still something
A drop in the bucket is still something, your drop matters to us!

Send a fax to anywhere in the U.S. or Canada for free.
Spend 5 minutes. Make 5 calls. Make your voice heard.
if this goes through, section 230 will be dead by January 1st of 2027 and so will the free internet
Everything will be okay, but only because you will make it okay!
FIGHT BACK
YOU’RE NOT ALONE IN THIS
We stand together
Spread the word!
So... since Discord is expanding its age verification globally, Let me make a quick list of alternatives you can use that better respect privacy or doesn't have age verification bs in no particular order:
Stoat Chat:
Signal (good for group chats)
Download Signal for Android, iOS, Linux, macOS, and Windows.
Element (very good for privacy)
Download Element, an end-to-end encrypted secure messenger and collaboration app with voice and video chat. Available on Web, Android, iOS,

Hey everyone.
Sorry for the extended absence, ive been only been using Tumblr minimally (checking notifs/news) and not have posted anything because i was getting way too stressed out and such. I decided to take a step back from posting and tone down my usage.
I am slowly getting back into things, but I'm not sure if I would be ready to post more stuff to here yet.
TLDR; was getting overwhelmed from everything, decided to take a break from posting.
every time you have the urge to doomerpost, make a call/leave a messsge/send an email/send a fax to a rep or senator.
and do it when you aren’t having that urge too

Some good news for texas :)
there is gonna be a push for the bad internet bills through February
Now, this isn’t set in stone right now, but it’s believed that February and January will be the months they’ll start voting and pushing hard for this law
Now right now, congress and the senate will be on holiday until the 31st, which means we have to push against this hard!
Send in voice mails and calls to them, since they can’t answer them right now, they’ll be overwhelmed by them and be crushed by the pressure.
Good luck to everyone!
Be sure to spread this around

12/11/2025 KOSA UPDATE
KOSA and the other age-verification bills we've been watching have been passed out of their subcommittee in the House and are now before the full House Energy and Commerce Committee. NOW IS NOT THE TIME TO BE A DOOMER OR PANIC. Why? Because KOSA and these other bills were passed along party lines and with only a slim majority. THAT MEANS OUR OPPOSITION IS WORKING, not only that, but we know that no matter how much they tout these bills as being popular and bipartisan, there is a clear divide amongst them, and they DO NOT all agree with these bills. Now, it's up to us to continue our opposition by calling, emailing, and faxing, so we don't lose the momentum we've gained this week. Not only should we be consistently acting between now and next week, but we should also be reaching out to others, on and offline, to build and maintain this movement.
I believe we're at a good place, given that lawmakers disagree with and dislike these bills, and we made a lot of noise this week. WE MUST KEEP UP OUR OPPOSITION. Even if you're not hearing much news or things seem slow, call, email, or fax.
Use your energy for opposition. If you're angry, contact representatives and spread the word. If you're scared, contact representatives and spread the word. If you're panicked, contact representatives and spread the word. When I feel all those things, that's what I do to ensure I'm doing my part in helping to stop these bills. You should too.
Thanks to everyone who is making their voices heard. Let's keep making this process difficult for them BECAUSE CALLING MAKES A HUGE DIFFERENCE.
P.S. When you're calling also mention how you support/want to keep Section 230 as it is written. And I'll probably have more as we hear more.
