i started writing this just after getting a notification and in the process of writing it i got another. unprecedented levels of community and communication happening here

I’ve never tamed a cat before in Minecraft and apparently they sleep in your bed with you if you let them follow you around which is so adorable
they also will sometimes give u gifts when u wake up, at least in bedrock mode. theres a whole achievement abt it

So currently I answer to my full first name (which I usually introduce myself with) as well as two nicknames/diminutives plus my last name when people mistake it for a first name. There are two or three other nicknames I've also gone by in the past. I'm perfectly fine with this, or neutral at minimum-- I have a common name and have had to be flexible with how I'm distinguished for my whole life. I also don't feel a deep and fundamental connection of my name with my identity, though I think going by another name entirely would confuse me.
A number of friends have been appalled at me being called names I don't say are my name. Which is really weird to me, although I'd go to battle for anyone else who was getting either deadnamed or called something they didn't want. But this perspective seems surprisingly common!
How do you feel about being called something other than the name you introduce yourself with?
I think it's fun if people give me (non-derogatory) nicknames or shorten my name
I don't care if people call me something else and will answer to it
I'm mildly uncomfortable or annoyed but won't make an issue of it
I HATE being called something else and will always correct people

my chosen name is really short (four letters) so i dont think it really can be shortened much but so long as i know its my name idc, but my deadname pisses me off a lot and sometimes even my chosen name feels weird so ig im fine with them so long as my brain will let me be fine with being referred to at all if that makes sense

did you recently download bedrock edition I've heard of a thing there where the first world is picked from a predetermined list of good seeds
No I’ve had a few worlds on here before I got this seed. One of them I deleted out of frustration because I ended up in like a super dense forest I could never find the end of that kept almost all of the hostile mobs alive every morning because the trees were so thick and they kept killing me before I could even make a stone sword to try and swat them away with
that sounds like a dark oak forest, theyre super annoying and honestly my best rec is to find + follow a river or climb onto the canopy and run along the top of that. dark oak wood is really pretty tho so i can never fully hate it
Why do my Minecraft builds make some people so angry I genuinely don’t understand
if i had to guess its because you have at least one diamond tool and are living in a dirt shack, which ppl dont like because most popular minecraft creators are builders/good at building, which has convinced people that building cool bases is The Most Important Thing about the game
But my dirt shack is so cozy though

I’ve started listening to the book project Hail Mary and frankly there’s no room in the plot of this book for that man everyone seems to be shipping Grace with so I decided to look it up and apparently instead of letting a character not have a romantic interest y’all have yoinked a character out of some kind of Markiplier project
