Ice skating for the first time in my life was pretty amazing and scary. Same with snowboarding but I regret nothing. Model swaggin with Anna Christiane. Afro’s banging with Chanita. Been forever since I’ve been on Tumblr but my life has been moving so fast lately. Recently moved to LA. Figuring out the city been here for about 2 months. All the way from Indianapolis Indiana on a leap of faith. Literally. Wanted to chase a better life,expand my creative wings and truly live a real life. Since then I’ve went snowboarding randomly for the first time in my life, became friends with an Awesome model who was crowned Ms.Earth New Zealand 2015, got on a comedy stage in LA, got invited to a comedy club, received a contract in regards to management for myself. Learning exploring growing creating. So many things. Too many to put here or anywhere. Meant to be lived. Haven’t been here because to me it is the most heartfelt real and honest social media outlet and every time I’m logged in I feel like It’s such a big part of myself. So personal. Way better than FB but FB has everyone I know. The gift and curse of it. Love you Tumblr.

Maxine Shaw! Attorney at Law!

Her character really inspired me to be an attorney when I was younger. She was this dark skin fearless sexually aware unapologetic Black woman. She had the shaved hair with the braids, the fly ass suits and shoes and was completely aware of what she wanted out of life. Everyone on the show was looking for a man. Max was just there for a good time. I feel like she was an example to young Black women that it is okay and acceptable to want a career more than family or marriage. It’s okay to put yourself first. We need more Maxine Shaws. 

At least we had her.

So yes, Please let Living Single be up next for 90s Black Sitcoms on Netflix.

Let’s just take a moment for some Living Single Appreciation

Living Single represented strong Black female and male characters and their friendships, relationships and the men/women in their lives from Dads to dates. It was just such a broad spectacle of young Black professionals.

This is my favorite show of all time. That’s why I went so hard for this response.
