A map. Such a rich school, yet.. a map. The only thing they provided first day students with to help them get around the campus was a lousy map? It was ridiculous. Atusko's sour expression worsened as the darkening skies above rumbled ominously. She had given up on getting to class on time; she was sure her teacher would understand when she explained her situation. She hoped they would, at least.
Now she was left standing under one of the many trees that decorated the campus, staring dully at the useless piece of paper she held in her hands. She had messily scribbled the names of places over each building she had visited, the small writing imprinted on it impossible for her to read. Atsuko's nose crinkled in mild disgust and she flung the map to the ground, stomping on it once, twice, allowing her to lose control for a moment's time.
Breathing deeply, she straightened her uniform and ruffled her hair back into place. The sky above made her nervous; she never was awfully good around thunder and lightning. The main building of the campus was right in front of her, luckily, so she decided to enter there momentarily, and maybe get some help from a teacher or classmate.
Swiftly making her way towards the large building, Atsuko hesitated slightly before entering it. She wasn't completely sure if she'd get in trouble for being out of class, so she went in quietly and peered about cautiously.
All the doors were closed, as to be expected, and the long and luxurious hallway intimidated Atsuko slightly. Bringing her book bag closer to her body and biting her lip nervously, she stepped quietly into the middle of the hall, glancing to to both sides of her.
The faint sound of music caught her attention, and Atsuko swiveled to the left quickly. Without truly thinking of what she would do when she got there, she walked quietly towards the origins of the beautiful notes. Thoughts wrapped around the song itself that was being played, and if she recognized it, Atsuko barely registered when she came to a stop in front of the single door open in the hall.
A lone figure sat at the piano, fingers flowing fluidly and completely engrossed in the masterpiece they were creating. Awe-filled eyes stared in delight, barely noticing her entrance into the near-empty room. The grand climax of the song made her heart beat quicken and her hands come to clasp in front of her chest excitedly. The pianist finished with a flourish, and Atsuko felt obliged to clap erratically to thank for the unearthly performance she had just witnessed. "Y-you play beautifully."
