Is Atta truly happy with her life?
She has her moments when she regrets leaving Europe she loved it there, she fell in love there and she knew that she had to leave but she wanted to stay there and piece of her still feels like it’s living there.

Quickly wiping her cheek, Zoey set Pluto down again as she was startled by a voice in the distance. “Can’t you just paint somewhere else? There are a lot of woods.”
Atta, sat down in her chair, ”I liked this spot, what’s got you down?”
Sitting in the park a bit off the beaten track, Zoey felt comfortable enough that she would be alone here. Carefully she lifted her kitten up and placed Pluto on her lap, facing her. “You know, I always thought growing up meant getting wiser… it doesn’t really feel like that much anymore,” Zoey told the kitten, not caring that it couldn’t understand. “Keep making the same mistakes time and time again… think you could tell me what to do? Clearly I can’t trust myself with that.” Trying to smile a bit, the expression failed as a tear slid down her face and she shook her head.
Atta was painting in the middle of the wooded area and glanced over to see a shadow “Great there goes my inspiration...”
“I don’t need you to buy me drinks; the non alcoholic drinks here are just water… and I think maybe more water.”
“Come on Rain, just live for once”
“Yes you were unless you like annoying people with trivialities or just talking to yourself. No matter what, please shut the fuck up.”
“I was sitting here first so if you don’t want me to continue talking to myself, as teachers an artists do then you could just leave”
“And drinking will make it shorter for sure.”
“Rain don’t start today, or I won’t buy you a drink”
“Hmm? Oh, I’m fine. Just trying to figure out what to do with all of my new free time.”
“There’s plenty you could do, you could always take up pole dancing, it’s a fabulous exercise and a great way to relax”
“Either you were fishing for someone to tell a sob story to or you’re one of those dickbags that says something cryptic about being sad or mad and then doesn’t elaborate. By which I mean shut the fuck up.”
“I wasn’t doing either of those things”
“Fired? What do you mean fired?” Evan asked his all too gleeful boss, looking confused but also rather amused as he was having trouble believing it was true. Shrugging, his boss repeated himself, handing over the pink slip and the last of his pay. “You’re firing me now? It’s been years, what gives?” A few costumers actually cheered. “That’s rude as fuck,” he muttered, swiping a couple of cookies as he made his way out of the coffee shop.
Atta glanced up from her book and watched Evan leaving the shop, getting up she followed after him out of the shop “You okay?”
“Do you wanna talk about it? I’m all ears!”
“It’s kind of boring, you sure?”
“If people opened their ears and not their mouths, a lot more would get done.”
“I couldn’t agree with you more”
“Are you fishing for me to ask about it? Because I’m not going to. I’d rather just drink my beer in peace.”
“No, I was just saying that it was, no fishing here, I promise”
