It's not transphobia to call trans men birthday boys. It is meant to point out how your community at large starts fights and cries harassment when you get pushback. As a transmasculine person myself I get soooo embarrassed when I see people like you whining about it
and i get soooo embarrassed when i see people like you turning their back on their own community.
"whiny birthday boys, transandrobros, transandrocunts, theyfabs, bomb that kills all tme's" etc isn't fucking pushback. its transandrophobia and exorsexism.
excuse us for calling it what it is and refusing to take it lying down.
for a good second i thought this was a post about how it was transphobia to wish a trans man a happy birthday đź’€
I don’t care if I’m The Friend That’s Too Woke I do believe it’s wrong to brainwash little girls with romance movies making them think men will treat them the way a disney prince treats a princess while their male peers are watching porn starting at age 6 and being radicalized on Instagram reels
If I ever had a daughter we would be a studio ghibli household only. I will not raise a lamb to the slaughter
mate you’re the one that’s not woke enough

Do people live in an alternate universe where J.K Rowling is a misogynist misanthrope who creates her books out of malicious intent, or are they just dense? I'm leaning towards the latter.
you live in the universe where she isn’t, we live in the real world
Do you think "tankie" is a useful term?
Yes
No
It once was, it isn't anymore
It didn't use to be, but it is now
I don't know what "tankie" is
Mao haircut of nuance button
quick history lesson for those who are curious.
"Tankie" Is a derogatory term the spawned from the use of tanks in hungary by the USSR against the 1956 uprising. Many saw this uprising as a movement for the people, and the use of full on tanks to stop it was seen as absurd, so people started complaining, and calling those who supported this action "tankies" because they supported the tanks. The thing that is often neglected is 1. the context, and 2. information on the actual uprising itself.
First I'll give a little context and then address the contents of the revolt.
This uprising followed "Khrushchev's thaw", a period in which Khrushchev rolled back many of the previous rules against capitalists and fascists in their and surrounding territory. This lead to many fascists being freed and congregating for movements to try and seize power back from the USSR.
There were some legitimate complaints about the USSR anywhere and in particular in 1956 Hungary, so some people did genuinely gather to press for reforms and better governance, with even some socialistic demands being made initially. This is the part you'll hear about from liberals. The part you won't hear about is what happened following this, and how the movement was co-opted by full on fascists. This isn't just a claim by an online Marxist but something we have clear evidence of. Here is a picture of the "protesters" standing over the tanks.
see that flag?
it's the long dead flag flown under the Nazi occupation of the country.
Perhaps they simply flew that flag because they didn't have better symbols? Okay, consider this passage from The Truth about Hungary by Herbert Apthker
This uprising was a sustained fascist mob, lynching communists and Jewish people. I'm certainly not known for my support of militarization or brutal actions, but I don't think that a strong response to this situation somehow makes the USSR or the people who supported their use of tanks, "red fascists", or otherwise poor communists or even just poor people in general.
Tankie is a useless term to me because standing against fascism "too strongly" doesn't make you somehow a reverse fascist or some nonsense, it makes you an anti fascist. Standing against fascism is how you defeat it. I am a "tankie" in the original sense that I support the use of tanks in the intervention against the fascists in Hungary. Not as a blank check, I'm sure there is nuance and perhaps they could have done things differently, but it is not an action I think the USSR needs to be condemned for taking. Despite this, I don't think the word "tankie" is even particularly useful for reactionaries anymore, as it's becoming so diluted as to refer to anyone left of the person saying it, with it making it's way all the way from intra-communist criticisms to now being something fascists use to deride anyone vaguely left.
Using "Tankie" as a derogatory term implicitly supports fascist lynchings, please stop
Iceland is fucking bizarre my name change made the news
Like just @ me at this point I'm literally the only person in iceland (and very possibly the world) who has the first name Lauf
(Article title reads "Lauf and Birningur in group of new names in the name register")
No one lives here so now two of our biggest news outlets are vagueing about me lmao
Hmm you're right. Correction: two of our biggest media outlets are talking about me specifically because they are obsessed with me
This morning I showed up to work and my boss was like "congratulations :))" and I was kinda confused so asked her on what and she said "your name, I heard about it on the radio"
So far I have counted two online articles and apparently the radio is also talking about my name change so I'll keep you guys updated when I'm on national tv or something
With a little legwork we can make more people on Tumblr see this than the entire population of Iceland.
Fuck it

Ok.
no actually ai profile, we do see them as women. i have legitimately forgotten that some of my friends are transgender (even when they have masculine-sounding voices) until other people raise it. when i meet new people with them (generally online) *they* have to raise the fact that they have masculine-sounding voices.
this post is also forgetting about trans men, but the same goes for them. i know it’s hard for transphobes to understand but even as a cis person i do unconditionally see trans people as their gender.
it’s not like bang come out immediate switch flip (obviously) but it does objectively happen.
love you all my trans siblings xoxo
the people who post these things are usually just hateful, and are always reactionaries
live your best life as your gender! i believe in you ❤️
I’m still kinda astonished they really had no qualms offering disproportionately autistic kids (who they know hate change, have issues visualising the future and are usually emotionally immature) puberty blockers. Like obviously they’re gonna say yes, trans identifying or not.
legitimately huh??
I'm 100% on this colonization theory.
Males have colonized and destroyed the entire earth. They don't have the means yet to colonize space.
So what does that leave?
Women and womanhood.
This is why I'm anti-trans. Because this movement and ideology erases women. It erases our history, identity, and our bodies. It erases the language we use to fight for ourselves and each other. It erases the sacredness of being a woman.
I'm territorial and protective of womanhood and I will not apologize for that.
