The racist and transphobic tears being shed over the casting in The Odyssey almost make me want to see it.... almost.

I mean just imagine looking at Lupita Nyong'o and not thinking, "Yeah, that's the most beautiful woman in the world, I'd go to war for that." You must be seriously estranged from beauty to think anything else.

Having Helen and Clytemnestra be identical twins is genius because how poetic and fitting is it that Agamemnon, who used Helen as an excuse to start The Trojan War, who instigated the deaths of thousands and sacrificed his own daughter for his ambitions, only to fall by someone who bears the same face of the woman he politicized?

was blown away by the pure HUMANITY of The Drama. the at times painfully awkward interactions, dialogue that actually feels like real life, down to the awkward and ill-timed laughs, charlie's crash-out when he kissed misha, while obviously in the wrong it's a realistic depiction of a breakdown, the fear of marrying someone you don't actually know pushed to the extreme, not to mention the realism of what being forced into a small bubble on the internet can do to a child, forcing them into the belief that this is who they are, then the quick turnaround when emma finds a group that pops that bubble.
