Not platonic, not romantic, but a secret third thing (real fucking weird about each other).
twilight but instead of a dramatic reveal about how edward’s a vampire bella just shows up to class one day and slides a copy of Dracula across the table to see what happens
how DARE you hide this comedy gold IN THE TAGS
I'd like to believe this is how it all started.
Tell it to em.
a bicep to bite on in these trying times……..
whoever it was that requested ali's speech be removed from the main tlb insta: if you didn't know what you were signing up for when you got involved with this project that had signed on ali who has been Very outspoken about his values and beliefs especially regarding Palestine from the start, I wish you a very warm pillow on both sides forever.
Woke up still thinking about Ali Louis Bourzgui at the Tonys and the way he was like “there are people I should thank but actually, I have some stuff to say” and proceeded to give the most gorgeous, politically charged speech of the night. Possibly of any Awards show this year. God I’m so proud of him 🥹
TONY AWARD WINNERS ALI LOUIS BOURZGUI AND SHOSHANA BEAN!!!!!
#this is literally how being nonbinary is
Imagine explaining non-binary genders like this though, “Okay so you know how a spork is like a spoon, and also a fork, while also being neither? I am the spork of humanity. I have a spork gender.”
Happy Pride!
Every pride, you must reblog this. No exceptions
I love that four different people on my feed scheduled this joyous person to reblog by 8am on June 1. I look forward to seeing this a dozen more times today.
CRITICAL ROLE 4.27 Complicated Questions
+ bonus Kattigan reaction:
Thaisha x Hal (and Kattigan can watch) 💖
Dude dude dude.
We know Brennan is takeing point on what demons are like based on how Whitney plays Tyranny.
I'd be willing to bet that extends to others in the characters and their family/community as well (Julian and his mother are quite similar, the other druids likely draw from Taisha's calm and open vibe).
You know who's a lot like Kattigan? Fucking King Gus. You know what last name sounds a lot like a bastardized version of Valian? Vale.
Just saying.
Tbh I don't understand anyone who denies their favorite character's flaws and acts like they've never done anything wrong when that is like consistently the most interesting part of any character ever
We should all be talking about Hal and Thaisha dressing Julien up against his will only for him to be immediately into it.
Bonus: Davinlloy horseplay after Julien got a big padded belly
me every time someone spouts some misogynistic foolishness about thaisha knowing aabria might see it
Every time I see "fjord and jester should've stayed friends their romance ruined their stories" or "yasha and beau should've stayed friends their romance ruined their stories" it just tells me people didn't actually care about the stories of the characters and just wanted certain ships to be Canon whether or not the characters themselves wanted that.
Like most fjorester hatred is people just blindly hating fjord as a character and these claims of "actually his story would be better-" come from people who regularly see his existence as an inconvenience to the narrative. Like he's a problem. Fjord falling for jester and letting himself take the plunge in telling her he loves her is a massive moment for him. Because it shows how much he's changed. It shows how much of an effect Jester has had on him. He didn't even expect her to like him back when he asked if he could kiss her, he was just hoping maybe she'd return the feelings. Fjord isn't locking her away. She's the one pretty regularly calling the shots. He'd do anything for her because he loves her and she's one of the best things that's ever happened to him.
Jester meanwhile, doesn't have a shitty story because she happened to get with a guy she at one point had a superficial crush on. Her arc wasn't destroyed when she ended up in a relationship you personally hate. Jester working through her feelings on fjord and ultimately realizing there is something deep there works. Because it shows how much her perception of him has shifted with time. She sees his flaws and the true center of who he is and still loves him. It's not an insta-love romance like she'd read about but something deeper built off trust and genuine care. Literally any member of the nein would've had that kind of story with her, the only reason people are claiming "it's worse because it's fjord" is because you guys just hate him on principle and don't actually see their relationship as deep. Even on a friendship basis.
"Beau said the crush wasn't deep, but she also said the crush wasn't like the other one night stands she was used to, so she's lying." No? She was right. The feelings for Jester weren't like the one night stands. Because one night stands don't require you to know the person you're sleeping with. Jester is a very easy to love person who draws in everyone around her with her kindness and ability to look directly at them and address their soul. Her crush on Jester was real, the feeling she had were real. But crushing on Jester was easy. That's the point Beau was making. Actually, confronting her early feelings for Yasha is complicated in ways Beau hasn't had to deal with before. Having to tip toe around the grief Yasha carries with her from a love already lost, having to think about the fact that Yasha nearly killed her and her friends on several occasions even if Yasha didn't herself want to. The knowledge that loving Yasha would mean opening the door for a future where you get a home that can be more quiet and slow paced compared to the life you've been used to.
Meanwhile, on Yasha's end, yasha being able to find love again and actually express that love openly without fear is so incredibly important. And meeting Beau who never once is embarrassed to get mushy and flirtatious in front of the world means the person leading things will always wordlessly affirm that her love is allowed and invited. Loving Beau gave Yasha the chance to finally lay Zuala to rest in a way that didn't keep her bound to her grief. It won't ever go away, grief is funny like that, but the pain won't be as constantly present.
The main ships in campaign 2 are good. The main couples are exactly what they needed and allow them to end up with happy futures. "But I don't like the ships and don't ship them" okay, that is completely fine. Fanfiction is always open for you to ship and indulge! But claiming as an objective fact that the show ruined itself because what you personally wanted didn't happen shows that you care more about ships than the characters themselves or the stories being told.
