Pink and blue, winter and spring.
I was thinking about winter as a concept. In her warm furry coat, realizing that light and warmth has arrived. Spring. And she takes the last glimpse of the light she can never fully experience. Tired yet momentarily melancholic about how it’s her turn to go she gets ready to leave.
The color play I tried to do (I got the idea from friends for this): she has known it’s her time soon to leave. She has worn the pink coat to celebrate the arrival of spring: flowers blooming of new warmth contrasting her cold blues. But even the pink she has worn looks pale in comparison of the actual thing: intense, burning, coloring everything under the light in new colors. It’s the start of new life.
