After Biden’s win I have seen a lot of white liberals celebrating as if everything is perfect and back to “normal” as if that was ever a thing in this country. I have heard of white people putting up Biden and Kamala Posters over the faces of victims of police brutality and just overall desecrating BLM memorials and spaces. These people are blind to what is happening in this country and don’t understand that racism and police killings aren’t just going to halt when Biden comes into office. I am aware that some of this celebration feels like a relief for white liberals who are tired of posting about BLM and pretending to care about problems with minorities in this country. They pretended to be activists so they won’t look racists and believed this whole movement was a trend/aesthetic for their social media and for their life. It is sickening that this what they believe when we are fighting for our lives and some of us praying that we live until the end of the year. Know that white liberals are not far from white conservatives in terms of their ideals.
