aurorawrites  an introduction
So, I made this tumblr ages ago, but life got in the way before I could introduce myself. I’m eager to finally join writeblr now, however! I’m Rory, or Aurora Novak. I’m a bisexual non-binary bookworm of a writer, and my pronouns are she/they. I’m in my early thirties, and I live in the midwest.Â
I’m chronically ill and socially anxious, so my interaction on here might be somewhat intermittent. Still, I’ll do my best to participate — I’m excited to see other’s writing, as well as sharing my own.
A notice: some of my stories, especially fanfic, contain explicit material. If this makes you uncomfortable or you are under the age of 18, I request that you not read.
Below are summaries of my two current projects; I hope to add more soon!

one who seeks.
Cassidy Caldwell is a psychic.
Well, kind of. She doesn't really believe in the supernatural, or any of that nonsense. But reading tarot runs in the family, and working at her mom's metaphysical shop is an easy job after she burns out of nursing school.
When a strange woman comes into the shop and asks for a reading, Cassidy is led into a world of the supernatural she's never dreamed of - and must face the truth of her own powers.
the alpha’s hunter.
Vanessa Preston has spent her life hunting down and exterminating anything supernatural.
After her family was murdered by vampires when she was 12, she swore revenge. Taken in by her uncle, she was taught everything she ever needed to know about the society hidden under humanity's nose. But on the tenth anniversary of her family's death, the unthinkable happens. Supernatural creatures reveal themselves to the world at large, breaking a centuries-long tradition of silence.
Hunting them becomes illegal. Vanessa is furious and resigned, knowing that it's only a matter of time before the vampires or werewolves show their true selves, the monsters they really are.
When she is kidnapped by a group of werewolves, determined to get revenge for their fallen kin, she is claimed by their alpha, claims to be her true mate. Vanessa is sure this is some kind of ploy - mates aren't real, after all. But the more she learns about Theo, the alpha who placed her under her protection, the more she realizes that everything she ever learned about them was a lie.
But not everyone has accepted the existence of supernatural beings as a good thing. And there might be more to her parents murder than Vanessa ever realized.
