"Stay back, or don’t."
"Pardiez!" The old man exclaimed. "And miss out on the fun?! You'll have to forgive me the audacity, but I will take your second suggestion!"
Assessing the situation, the number of cutthroats in the docks district was easily a seven to one. Judging by Valeria's confidence, he figured she could take on most of them, if not all. But he felt there was nothing wrong with partaking in some collaborative justice delivering.
Drawing steel, both sword and shield, he charged towards the criminal crew.
"Atrás!! You foul wretches! You shall not take the victory today!!"
And so it began.

💬 Heard the big guy is back in town!
"That so?" A raspy chuckle escaped the towering man, as he turned around to a squad of soldiers clad in golden and white armor.
"HEARD THAT? WE HAVE A BIG GUY BACK IN TOWN! WHO'S GOING TO JOIN HIM FOR SOME ROUNDS AT THE TAVERN?!"
And in a matter of less than a second, warcries of celebration raised up to the skies.
"Apparently, you were quite right! The big guy is, indeed, back in town!"

The sun was in its highest point, illuminating the sky and the endless fields. These, however, would be soon tainted with the crimson of blood.
Styx stood out amongst the hordes of heroes, clad in a dark robe as she was rather than shiny armor, and wielding no obvious weapon.
"Hello to you too - Cid, is it? I admit, I was surprised to get your request. We didn't part on the best of terms on our last encounter."
"You are right, We did not." He remembers having left with a bitter taste on his heart after their last encounter. Possibly something best left forgotten.
"But I appreciate that you've decided to assist us, nonetheless. The enemy is soon to arrive. Are you prepared?" For some, shifting through portals required a bit of time to adjust. Especially across different realities.
// I've been away for days playing skyrim i am so sorry
"If we are to speak about those who died by our hand, I have two lists. Those whose life I ended myself... And those who died under my command.
The first list is on the hundreds, for I have battled for nine hundred years. All those warriors I hoped were good men, fighting for their countries. All those demons, however, I hope they remain restless.
The second list. The amount of young, eager men to defen their families, that I had to bury myself in the battlefields. It nears six thousand already."

🏨 = Stay overnight at a Haunted Hotel
SPOOKY PROMPTS ( accepting! )
It was pouring hard, when the detective arrived at the hotel. They were on the case to investigate its haunting and hopefully take care of whatever was causing the ruckus.
They stepped on the varnished, wooden flooring, their thin figure casting a long a shadow whenever a thunder struck in the sky. Pulling their hood down to let loose of their wet raven locks. With their sharp, green eyes, they looked around the lobby, to see if anyone was around.
@aurumsanguine
Shadowy eyes pooling with the dim glimmer of wisdom and concern reached the visage of Eerie. The towering giant of a man had his back leaning against the side wall, watching the detective free their hair.
Despite the cold weather outside, he wore light layers and jeans, any other would have caught a cold, but not him. He wasn't alive enough for that.
"Somby, if my Intel is correct." He greeted. "Welcome to the Queensdale Ocean Hotel. Seems they've been making calls to everyone they know to get us to check the case."
He incorporated himself, separating his frame from the wall, and pacing slowly towards Eerie. A toothy smile with prominent canines flashing behind his beard.
"They call me Cid." He said, already extending a hand. "Perhaps between you and I, we can find out whatever supernatural folly is going on."
I enjoy doodling from time to time.
"Right, apologies."
And so, he lied down, a slight grunt of discomfort as it was clear his back was killing him.
"It's on my higher back, you see. I carry around two hundred weighted magnitudes of steel between armor and weaponry, as well as my sacred notes and sundry gear, so it's been quite strained for the trip here."
"No need to apologise mister Cid."
Valeria took note of the sound of pain coming from the warrior as he lied down on his belly, back exposed "Excuse me." She began inspecting his back with her eye, the skin seemed red on the spot he mentioned and felt sensitive to the touch "That is a lot to carry around during long distances. I believe there is an inflammation in your upper back muscles."
Shifting to the side, the elf grabbed a bottle "I am going to use a healing salve to treat the muscles through the skin and a remedy for the pain." The liquids were dripped onto his upper back and she rubbed them into his skin firmly but with cate to avoid hurting him.
There was always a comforting feeling when a warrior was treated by a healer. The hands of someone who resotred life, although full of blood much like those of a warmonger, they were dedicated to preserve life to all beings. Cid knew his deal of medicine, and sometimes, on a good day, he was able to channel the divine light to heal.
But truth was, he chose the path of the shield and the blade, understanding that those who aren't fighters could not heal if they weren't protected from death first. It was difficult work. To help one, you must harm another. A grim balance.
As Valeria applied the salve, it was clear that the stony frame of the man was not fully human. The massive muscles, compacted into a smaller frame than they should belong in gave it away, Cid was part giant.
"Do you usually open this early? I hope I haven't made you work before your usual shift."
