I mean, I can’t completely diminish the fact one good thing happened and yet it tended to snowball into something horrible. Not that I necessarily want to die or land in a coma, but whatever comes, whatever will be, will be. You’d deserve to live out of the two of us, Austen, there’s still good in you.
Well, you still have that one thing that made you happy– there’s always going to be a shitty snowball, but you still have that happy thing to think about.
Taking things in stride is just a necessary mindset for this city of ours, but we both know that nobody gets a choice on who lives and dies except those in power– and even those people get whacked. Doesn’t matter if I’m good or not, especially while living under the thumb of a woman who didn’t even tell my sister I was still alive.
