"Did you believe that we would live happily ever after?" Tom's voice held a harsh tone that had Harry wincing.
"Did you think we would be married?" Tom continued on, searching Harry's gaze. Dissecting each reaction, taking in every flicker of emotion on that face.
"Did you believe we would settle down? Have children?"
"Did you want me to say I loved you?"
Silence. Harry averted his gaze, and Tom could not breathe. Stared at this boy who had ripped ascender all that he was. All he would ever be, clawed his way into his heart, hold on tight and never let go-
"You love me," He says, as if just realizing this. As if this boy who had came into his life so many years ago had not already proven that to him over and over.
"You love me with everything that you are. So much so that you just wish to hear the same words from me."
Who had ever wanted Tom (a filthy, wretched creature, barely worth the flesh of his carving) had ever chosen Tom; was it not Voldemort they begged for?
"I could have the world fall to their knees for you," He encapsulates Harry's hands, brings it to his chest, his heart pounding like a birds wing within a cage.
A boy with tattered knees and hissing tongues. Throwing electricity like rocks to window panes in hopes of belonging to one much greater than he.
Tell me, mother, was I not worth fighting for?
"Could rip the heavens ascender for you, bend time to your very will," Stares at this boy, one that deserved to only be seen by those worthy enough to tremble before his grace; divinity embodied.
"Yet you only ask for me?"
