Little idea I had for a transmasc Ilya AU where part of Ilya’s motivation for obtaining a different passport and staying in Canada long term isn’t just to be closer to Shane but is also so that it allows him to change his legal documents (ie change his name to Ilya and change his gender marker from F to M) since he wouldn’t be able to do that in Russia

(Marrying Shane also helps him in these cases lol)
