i think where awwp fails is 1) the transmisogyny, 2) the missing of other characteristics of fascism (machismo, obsession with a plot, newsspeak, anti-pacifism), and 3) the strawman rad/ical feminism that doesn't seem to actually understand what radfeminism is about.

Genuinely, just the transition between Sge to awwap is the only example of it. If someone wants to argue that's there are more, then sure. I do want to clarify, it's the only part I agree with. It's a rather flawed critique, The backing of "characters who advocate for changes are the villains" doesn't acknowledge the explicit ulterior motives in their approaches or their lack of actual interest in cultivating changes.

It's not a further off comparison! The Flower ground is analogous to a burial site. Faries and nymphs are psychopomps guiding the students further to the afterlife. My only counterargument to this is that she's still welcomed in, regardless of the ticket. But you are correct about death motifs lingering on. Agatha watching the ever girls uprooting from the ground like the dead resurrecting from the grave.
Sophie, Tantalus and River Styx
Sophie's floating through the black sludge and constantly sink in the moat is definitely also analogous to the River Styx's poisonous water. Your comparison of Sophie to Tantalus also fascinates me, as she makes many attempts to enter SFG but the branch snags itself away from her. Inferring, like Tantalus, that she is being punished by a higher being. It won't be hard to narrow down the authority to a certain man in the tower. But I definitely want to give it a more in-depth look.

School master bait and switching Sophie to kiss him by disguising as her decreased mother is an affirmation of incestualous undertone of his relationship with Sophie. He preys upon her grief for her mother to easily enplaces her in a parental-child dynamic. which Soman was conveying.
The prior scene with Elm trees and Stymph transporting Sophie and Agatha is such an amalgamation of Fertilization-Birth-Death. Elm tree's branches function as fallopian tubes to inject Agatha and Sophie upward, to fertilize the egg at the top of the tree. As they arrive at the top, the hatchling emerges from its shell and blanketing them with a “dark, yolky goo", to carry them to their representative school to be truly "birthed". However, double fertilization isn't a guaranteed. Resulting in Agatha getting "reborn" (Via School for Good) and Sophie's “death”. (Via School for Evil).
One thing I forgot to mention about Elm Tree, in literary works, they're gateway to the underworld. Fueling both schools as signifiers for the Underworld/Afterlife.
