The worst part is when people think like, you're supposed to agree with Kyuubey. That it's right and that means the show is saying teenage girls are selfish for making wishes and having wants. But Kyuubey is the fucking antagonist you're not supposed to agree with it! You're not supposed to agree with the thing that thinks of human beings as cattle, that's using them for the sake of energy

Like that's the subversive part, usually the mascot creature is *good*, usually they're an ally. Kyuubey is not, it's the antagonist.
