Some Halloween costumes from the Fall 2004 catalogue. I love how there’s a costume version for Coconut too. In this catalogue Molly is the only one shown in any sort of costume, and honestly I don’t remember any of the other historical girls having Halloween costumes, but I don’t know for sure. I really love both the “scary” and the “princess” costumes, and could the spider hairstyle be any more awesome?

I think Molly is the only historical girl to wear a Halloween costume indeed. We all know it’s culturally appropriative, so I don’t need to say more about it. I will admit that the girl holding Molly looks very sweet, though.

We just recently got two new canon historical Halloween costumes! Maryellen doesn’t dress up in her books but is marketed with an official Cowboy costume, and Courtney canonically dresses up as her own OC like the nerd she is (/affectionate).

Not Historical either, but of the Contemporaries, Nicki dressed as an Irish Dancer (in an outfit eerily similar to Nellie’s Irish Dance Outfit of Today… maybe Sam isn’t the only one with a descendant…), Gabriela was the Bride of Frankenstein, and Lila was supposed to be half of a horse but had to be a black cat when her friend went with someone else

this one’s also probably noncanon but in an insta post from 2018, Gabriela and Luciana dressed as Melody and Josefina respectively
