Okay so the weatherās starting to get warmer and I will eventually run out of excuses to wear oversized soft jumpers all the time as the months go by (but not for a while yet!). I Ā thought it would be a good idea to make a list of all the places that make super nice soft clothes (also itās a good reminder for me as well when Iām trying to search for stuff because i always seem to forget where to go.) Also Iām focusing on t-shirts in particular but you can add points about whatever!
Primark: Primark has stores across the UK, Europe and USA, selling loads of comfortableĀ and affordable clothes. Jumpers/sweatshirts can be very soft and feel like a blanket (theyāve redone their sizing too, so sizes fit better which is great for those who are larger too!). The t-shirts (especially in the menās section) are also great. Another plus is the cheaper t-shirts and otherĀ clothes tend not to have annoying labels on the back you need to cut off.Ā
Tesco: Unfortunately, Tescoās only in the UK. Depending on the store they have a good variety of comfy clothes (can be a little more expensive than Primark at times but still reasonable pricing). Again, Iām going to emphasise how great the men's t-shirt section of the store is (although some t-shirts will have labels!!)
Any sports clothing store: Basically any shop that sells sports gear (because the chances are there will be soft trousers, shorts, running trousers t-shirts if you find those comfortable - they also keep you cool if you overheat). Sports Direct (you can order online from the UK, USA, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, etc.) is one example and so is JD Sports (which is UK specific Iām afraid).
Hollister:Ā I canāt believe Iām putting this store up because itās probably one of the most autism unfriendly places Iāve been and itās also expensive. However, I have to say the hoodies there are very very cosy. So if you can save up for it, invest in a Hollister hoody (the ones without the zips are the best, in my opinion).
Tokyo Laundry: I got 3 t-shirts from Tokyo Laundry and they were the most comfortable things Iāve ever worn. I used to wear them all the time! (I managed to grab mine in TK Maxx / TJ Maxx hurrah for getting the more affordable designer/expensive clothes there.) One of the t-shirtsĀ did have a label, but the other one didnāt so it just depends on which ones you get.
Missloutoyou.com: An online store which sells really cute clothing and accessories for everybody, the designer also sells her stuff in the UK at different events (comic conventions in particular so if you like those events you can pick up a shirt or two there). I can only talk for the T-shirts when I say the sizing is good and a reasonable price! The only blip I had was the label on the sleeve but was easily solvable by cutting off the underside so I could still keep the artistās name on display) (Iām not entirely sure if the online store ships out past the UK, I will update once I find out). The store is also available on Etsy!
Any charity shop/thrift store, or sale racks in any clothing stores: These places can be absolute gold mines for clothing so donāt underestimate the good in jumping into different stores if you have the energy/spoons for it! Also, itās a good way to donate to a good cause! A double-win :)
Please feel free to add to the list if you have any suggestions!!
