I have so many questions, but my mind is utterly blank at the moment. You're absolutely breathtaking, far more than I ever thought angels could be.

Nothing ends well when the family comes around for dinner.
It didn't even occur to me to correlate the maker of the gods with the maker of angels, but it makes so much sense given the variety of religions. That was my mistake for not connecting the dots, especially since I already knew that all religions are based on the same events and people, just with cultural differences. This is fantastic– oh... oh no, you're not happy about them being here, and here I'm going off the rails.
Aunt and uncles coming into town for a little reunion has made me realize I lost track of my own family members.
It's easy to lose track of people amid such chaos. Do you need help?
The psycho dick should have been taken out, not sent away, or kill two birds with one stone better yet.
I don't like that at all. How about we go take your mind off that instead of sitting here stewing?
Awesome, wow, that's all I need to say about the abrupt end of multiple villains who fucked themselves over.
I do love your nonchalance the best, Mom.
Or as Agent Galahad is known as, Eggsy. The Kingsman is a pretty bitchin movie with many badasses galore, so it's appropriate. You can tell how much you two look alike with the glasses.
The one and only. Now I feel as though I need to sit down and watch the movies, and I know Father will be excited at the idea. He was always excited about the prospect of a mini-me.
Oh, you bet your ass that I will be soon judging by the way your mother and my Prince are talking among themselves. Your dad's a man of taste, sweetie, he definitely has every movie made in his collection.
Knowing my dear Uncle, he will immediately run to you when they're done conversing. I don't doubt it; my father is rather fond of collections, which is what I inherited from him. We can't say no to a little trinket.
Yeah, okay, fine, maybe that little gleam in his eye would make me accept whatever he wanted too. I'd rather be a Kingsman.
It's a superpower of his that none of his kids are immune to. Then you are an honorary Kingsman– want to wear my glasses?
Was that from your shopping trip with Mother or is that our father's power suit influence? Len's normal dose means burning down the bar.
Definitely both. I have always been a fan of a good pant outfit, but you know how mother gets when she finds out we like something and has father's black card in hand. Okay, maybe not her normal dose. I have a feeling we are going to have to run interference tonight.
God, I really feel way too overdressed for a birthday party.
I feel overdressed as well, but in a more suit-and-tie way, so you're in good company. Belle is my favorite princess, and you do her justice.
Gluttony and I spent most parties huddled together in a corner with Lust gossiping. You and your dad really look like the characters.
I think you can still gossip here, and it would be wholly accepted. Thank you– I've never actually seen the movie, but apparently this version of my father is a cinephile.
You and Father look like twins, Des, the outfit suits you well. I wish Lenny was as excited as him.
Would it be less impressive if I told you that most of this was already in my wardrobe? I'm sure she'll cheer up once she does her normal dose of chaos.
At least you willingly did a pairs costume with Dad. Aemon just threw mine at my face and expected me to stuff into it comfortably.
More like I couldn't say no to the little gleam in his eye in finding out that there was a costume party. I would trade with you if I could, Len.
I brushed up on my pop culture, you're Lancelot, right? You and your father look both so dashing.
Yes– Agent Lancelot and Dad is Agent Galahad. He assured me that Lancelot is a badass character on top of the dashing looks.
Parties were never really my thing, but dad was too excited about dressing up together that I couldn't exactly say no.
Well, I have plenty of maternal worry to go around, sweetheart. Surviving a childhood colored with discrimination never let me forget how it felt being so trampled on because of what I was and your version understood what world she was bringing her children into. You took your independence from me, Des, there were moments I couldn't wait to be out of the coven's grasp and move far from the city until I met your father. Just because you're a princess, doesn't mean you needed to be cooped up like one. I promise that if your heart was in it, Greed and I can arrange it with your Uncle to give you your own slice of Hell to rule over. One you can call your own.
You used to tell me stories of how your life was before you met my father, how he came into it and changed it just as you changed his. Obviously G-rated, of course, but I've always admired the way you two were. I know you would do everything in your power to give me what I wanted if ruling were indeed something I craved, but it's not. It's okay– I'm not meant to be a ruler. I'm too much of an adventurer at heart to be strapped down to one place for very long.
Oh, he would try with all of his might bringing her to that point of adoration, beaming with satisfaction in the knowledge he wouldn't be traveling the path alone. The longer Alastor stood before the princess, the more certain his own knees were growing weaker by the second and inadvertently reveal how much the woman could dangle him on a string. The god hummed at the acceptance of the challenge, his gaze immediately falling on the pendant Odessa wore around her neck. The way she fiddled with it so carefully must have meant it was a sentimental gift and in fact, he recalled watching the moment her parents gave her the necklace on the timeline loom. "Your natural protective instinct kicked in, Des. We aren't prone listening to orders while our loved ones need saving." Alastor's attention quickly lifted from the piece of jewelry, embarrassed if he had been caught staring at the hybrid's chest for longer than was appropriate. Fuck, what was the matter with him? "From what I can tell, your grandfather will take the loss of his Queen in great difficulty. There are small branches that could suggest having her back, but those depend on certain decisions." In a way, the timeline his father governed sometimes worked how Nikolai's abilities do, there are set events and then there are the variants dividing from the path. Isabel ever finding forgiveness in her heart to be drawn towards Angelus remained up in the air. "He has a right being worried about you, my love. However, I hold no qualms standing at your side against anybody looking to use you as a pawn against Angelus." The thought of Odessa as a pawn already set a course, but not as a revenge tactic. Any link between her and Envy greatly concerned the god, but Nikki warned him he should cease involving himself more than necessary. "Love is a curious and dangerous thing, Odessa, forcing men from the beginning of time to endure stupidity. Now that my father knows what the consequences feel like, perhaps he won't be such a judgmental ass." Alastor's gaze fell on his lap again, feeling the scorch of the woman's stare as he almost dreaded her answer. She had to think he was a lunatic seeing a possibility that was never there, he wasn't her type, he played too eager and arrogant. His head snapped up the minute Odessa confirmed what he knew deep in his heart as truth. Ali stared stunned for a moment before slowly lifting a hand, taking Des' rock pendant between his fingers briefly and then following a path gently tracing the length of her jawline. Focus, Alastor, focus. "Um, do you," Ali suddenly dropped his hand, the invisible sparks sent flying shocking him. "Do you want to go on a date with me?"
It wasn't just her grandfather that she was finding herself protective of. It was times like these when her father liked to remind Odessa of the qualities she shared with her mother. Alexia was selective about who she befriended and who she confided in, but once someone crossed that threshold, there was nothing the Queen of Greed wouldn't do to protect those she deemed worthy. It seemed that Des was travelling down the same route. The princess nodded along with Alastor's words, knowing that he was speaking nothing but the truth, but a sudden movement caught her eye– the way he hastily looked from the pendant she had previously held in her hands and then away, with a tinge of embarrassment that was palpable even to her. It was... unbelievably cute, and she couldn't help the small smile that pulled on her lips at the sight. "My grandfather is someone who can bide his time very well and show Isabel the reason why she fell for him in the first place in my timeline." She had to believe it, at least. The love between her parents and the love she saw between her grandfather and Isabel were the cornerstones and backbones of everything she wanted in a relationship. Odessa clocked the god's choice of words immediately– the convenient placement of 'pawn' was too strategic, but that wasn't the only thing that she noticed immediately. The endearment of my love fell far too casually from Alastor's lips, and it made her feel too much– enough for Des to drop the 'pawn' bit for now. She doubted that the god would give her too many details, anyway. Rules and all of that. Clearing her throat, the hybrid nodded her head. "I think your father is on the right track now that he knows what it's like in someone else's shoes. You can teach old gods new tricks." She stood still as the man reached forward to grasp the pendant that hung around her neck, as she'd done just a little before, his eyes focusing on her in ways that she didn't remember anyone doing before. The princess surely hoped that her heartbeat wasn't as loud as it was in her ears. Odessa really had to focus on what the god was saying, her eyebrows shooting almost to her hairline. "You want to go on a date... with me?" the princess breathed out in a massive whoosh, almost too quickly. Realizing she hadn't given an answer, Des was quick to nod, an almost bashful smile on her lips. "I would love to go on a date with you."
