all this toph discourse about her sexuality and femininity feels less about the actual character herself but more about which side of the fandom gets to claim her.
itās not ooc or crazy for toph to like guys, a lot of you seem to mistake breaking gender norms for homosexuality.. but at the same time anybody who gets extremely defensive over queer hcs is not to be trusted i fear. itās ok, your favorite character can be gay.

Yeah most Atla fans arenāt gonna be entertained about a story that features āthe dark avatarā as a plot point and fanfics where kuruk apparently fought a shadow war against dark energy monsters but never mentioned it cause he was sad and have trauma and all his friends died early or whatever lol

any story where Toph marries Zuko and they have kids (and she becomes Fire Lady) is a character betrayal of her. I wish I could enjoy this ship but I donāt see how Toph would accept such a traditional role for a woman (when she left her old life to escape the bondage of girlhood and womanhood imposed by her family/culture which is near identical to that of being Fire Lady)
Also - Zuko would expect traditional gender roles as Fire Lord and Fire Lady. Zuko is redeemed, he aināt revolutionary

i know that itās pretty much established that both kataangers and zutarians have extreme interpretations over zuko or aang, but iāve never seen anti-zuko kataangers as bad as anti-aang zutaras.
like thereās the kataang fans who act like zukos redemption arc never happened,
and then thereās the whole incel wife abuser aang thing going on in certain zutara circles.
the only people iāve ever seen slander zuko this bad are azula stans. but thatās justified honestly have you seen that one panel where zukos sitting on his throne while azulas being carried in a wheelchair and a straitjacket behind him
