Based on this panel from Zatanna #3, but with Basil in place. Idk I’ve just been thinking about it. Honestly based on this comic and Gotham Academy the plot’s a little confusing but Basil literally creating a separate sentient life out of his body, and it being a little daughter he names after the love of his life is something else to me.

I’ve got a couple Questions

Been wanting to use this pose reference for a while and I think it fits these two. Have been so obsessed I sped read 52 and a bunch of other comics and their dynamic is just so good and crazy to me. Absolute weirdo man and struggling lesbian that team up and somehow become such close and intimate friends like… idk man something about it.

Big fan of whenever there’s a situation presented where a man and a woman can be just friends and very close with each other without there having to be a threat of romance between them. That and like just the nature of them holding the same hero mantel like the fact the Question has two mantel holders, one a man and one a woman and they’re not related or romantically involved with each other. Just love to see it man idk.

Also about the art, they’re paint markers and I tried my best (as usual) but I haven’t done a ton of drawing lately really I’m v busy now I have a full time job.

I wouldn’t say that necessarily! That paints Azrael as his aggressor when Azrael himself is a sort of “deer in headlights” victim in the narrative.

The truck, to me, is more his struggles with mental health paired with all of the outside parties trying to manipulate him.
