Hi, here's my intro lol, I'm somewhere under the nonbinary umbrella (Idk - it's confusing - definitely not a girl though), my pronouns are they/he/she. I'm autistic and I love whales and cetaceans in general (if you couldn't tell by the @) as well as cartoons (amphibia, supernatural academy, rtte, the owl house, hilda, bee and puppycat, bluey, etc). Sometimes I can struggle to articulate myself or convey emotion through text but I will do my best! I would love to make friends especially if you have similar interests. DNI homophobes transphobes, racists, ableists, etc. I'm 18 and I will block you if I see a reason to.

Legit just saw someone say that their dog is in pain but it was "normal and to be expected with her age" so they aren't doing any pain management. So this your reminder that age is not a disease. Pets deserve comfort in their last years too.

#100%#My dog had a degenerative spinal condition which developed due to his age #we did everything possible to give him the best quality of life #and to make sure his decreased mobility didn't negatively impact him too much #he spent his last years happy pain free and loved #and to be clear #we were aware that as it was degenerative eventually there would be a point where we would no longer be able to help him #and when that point came we put him down #because the BARE MINIMUM is to make sure your dog (or any pet) has the best quality of life possible #and sometimes that means making really hard choices #but if you aren't willing to do that you do NOT deserve to have a pet #he was nearly 16 btw - I knew him for basically my whole life and he was the sweetest (if kind of grouchy) dog #tw pet death

guys I'm actually panicking about iwtv/tvl no longer being available on bbc iplayer. The netflix version is censored and has cuts, so it would really suck if that becomes the only way to watch it. Especially for season 3!!

Initially I thought that bbc just needed to renew the distribution rights gor season 1 (hence why season 1 has 4 months and season 2 has over a year). But a lot of people seem to think that bbc has lost them to netflix, which means the censored version might be the only legal (and high quality) version in the uk whivh is kind of not ideal at all.

I do have the dvds for the first two seasons, but I also rarely get to use the TV (my sister is always using it), so that's not the best fix in the world. I'm just really panicking cause this is my favourite show and my special interest and I really don't want to lose access to it :(((((((((

went to a new optometrist today wearing my squid facts ‘save our freaks’ shirt from @sarahmackattack that has a strawberry squid on it. and i wasn’t even thinking about it but the optometrist walked in and he was like ‘oh what does your shirt say’ so i showed him and he was like ‘oh that’s neat!’ and then i thought he might like to know about strawberry squid eyes since they have weird eyes and he is an optometrist and all. so i was like ‘yeah it’s actually a real kind of squid called a strawberry squid, their eyes are really cool because they have one big yellow-green one and one small blue one’ and he kind of gasped and went ‘oh my god that’s so interesting i wonder why they have that. do you know what their retina composition is like?’ and i watched as he minimized my chart on the computer and started looking up images of strawberry squid and then he googled ‘strawberry squid retina composition’ and he was like ‘sorry we’ll get to your eye exam in a moment i just really want to find out’ LMAO 10/10 optometrist experience will be returning
