@avlivingston
First, go grab some headphones. The best ones you’ve got. If the best ones you’ve got are these suckers (or something similar), you should really go buy new ones, but use the best you’ve got for right now.
Take a break from whatever you’re doing for 2 minutes and listen, but just listen to the whole thing, even if you have to multi-task.
Headphones on? Okay. Good.
Now, press play.

THE MUSIC IS MOVING IN MY HEAD
I want to follow the music…
But it’s in my head… wow.
I will never not reblog this.
am I the only one who tilted my head to the music?
File under / Ask an Artist
I recently met pro makeup artist Tamah Krinksy on set, and after contemplating grabbing her cases full of cult secrets and *running*, I asked her if she might share with us her expert tips. Luckily she spilled the bags beans on her cult must-haves and her own beauty routine.
Tamah is a born-and-raised New Yorker who studied acting at the legendary High School for the Performing Arts (aka the “Fame” school). She made the leap behind the camera after discovering an innate talent to create beautiful makeup, and has since lent her talents to the pages of Teen Vogue, L’Officiel, InStyle and many more.
1. What are your must-have cult products on set? Koh Gen Do Maifanshi Moisture Foundation ($62). In my 13 years as a makeup artist I have never found a better foundation. It is so sheer and leaves a beautiful natural finish on the skin, but still has enough pigment to even out skin tone. I love it! Lime Crime lipstick in “Coquette” ($16). Let’s start by talking about the packaging, these lipsticks come in lavender tubes with unicorns on them, they make you happy just by looking at them! The packaging aside, Coquette is the most universally flattering nude lip color. It literally looks great on everyone. I also love Cover Girl Lash Blast Volume Mascara in black ($7.79). It is the blackest black I have found in a long time, and the brush is fantastic, you can really layer this mascara on and still keep your lashes looking natural. 2. What do you swear by in your own beauty routine? I use cold pressed coconut oil to wash my face (try Fiji, $13.99). It is a great and efficient way to remove makeup, it is naturally anti-microbial, and it leaves your skin hydrated at the same time. I am also a fan of using vitamin E oil as a moisturizer (try Jason, $8.45), I usually use it at night so that it has a lot of time to soak in. I am big into keeping my skin hydrated. 3. If you could only give out one beauty tip - for every woman - what would it be? I would say less is more. Keep your everyday makeup simple. And, curl your eyelashes!
Thanks Tamah!! So many good ideas.

Damn, Jester, you nasty.
But I just love my school sometimes.
1. Abandon the idea that you are ever going to finish. Lose track of the 400 pages and write just one page for each day, it helps. Then when it gets finished, you are always surprised. 2. Write freely and as rapidly as possible and throw the whole thing on paper. Never correct or rewrite until the whole thing is down. Rewrite in process is usually found to be an excuse for not going on. It also interferes with flow and rhythm which can only come from a kind of unconscious association with the material. 3. Forget your generalized audience. In the first place, the nameless, faceless audience will scare you to death and in the second place, unlike the theater, it doesn’t exist. In writing, your audience is one single reader. I have found that sometimes it helps to pick out one person—a real person you know, or an imagined person and write to that one. 4. If a scene or a section gets the better of you and you still think you want it—bypass it and go on. When you have finished the whole you can come back to it and then you may find that the reason it gave trouble is because it didn’t belong there. 5. Beware of a scene that becomes too dear to you, dearer than the rest. It will usually be found that it is out of drawing. 6. If you are using dialogue—say it aloud as you write it. Only then will it have the sound of speech.

This new Looper Animation is very, very special.
Zach Johnson (who did these painted posters) worked with Noah Fisher to create a gorgeous animation, by hand painting over 700 frames. The gif above is pulled from it, but you need to see the whole thing. I want every single one of them on my wall. Check it out over at Apple Trailers
Seeing this movie was the best decision of my day. ---------------------------------------------------------------------
