A very gorgeous peacock butterfly has decided it wants to set up shop in the conservatory. I'm a little worried that it might overheat (I took all my plants out of there since they got fried to a crisp) but shooing it towards the door didn't work and I don't want to try and catch it in a cup since it's fairly big and I don't want to harm it (him, I think?) in the process.

At this point I've accepted he's staying here for now, and he seems to have found a nice vantage point by the roof that he keeps coming back to (although he occasionally moves). I'm keeping the door open so he can leave if he wants and hopefully to stop it getting too hot in there, and I've given him a little jar lid of sugar water and a sprig of lavender.

Butterfly enjoyers, is there anything else I should be doing?
