some days i wake up knowing i was born to live in paris as an author and then i remember i have a chemistry exam on tuesday and forgot to submit my assignments
proximity
hail taps the thin glass snow flourishes, howls, and bites your arms keep me warm
everyones telling writers to just start writing and not leave it off, but whos telling them how to cope with an unsuccessful and unnoticed product? asking for a friend
I just wanted to tell you that I won my class writing competition, beating over 150 other students, by writing Good Omens fanfiction and changing their names. Thank you!
My work here is done.
hozier doesn't get nominated for awards because everyone knows he'd win them all

nothing comes to mind,

call me by your name
its rare that i get emotional over a movie, never mind cry. but when i say that call me by your name broke me, i mean that im in shatters.
the music was perfect, i could close my eyes and see every scene, feel the heat of the sun, the cool water, the italian breeze and the smell of cigarettes and flowers. every frame was so masterfully crafted to evoke such strong emotion that i cant even put it into words.
and the ending, how it caught me off guard, but how wonderfully it fit in. amazing
i will now cry over it for weeks.

soft late night tv
in the background, underneath
warm sheets together
procrastination
the mouse clicks quietly as seconds spill away,
a forgettable moment of the passing sunny day.
the shadow of dread hangs high overhead,
a vulture preying and waiting for the dead.
and then when the sand has all gone to waste,
in for the kill, the lurker makes haste.
growing up
sentiment slowly slips away through sleepless study nights,
the giddy jumps now depressive slumps in the middle of july.
the race to grow and go, although how slow it really seemed,
was just the blissful ignorance of some hopeless teen.
morning
the apricot sun
bleeds across the horizon
soft apricity
void
a ringing silence
the world swims in inky dark
quiet dreamless sleep
as a writer it is my sole purpose to make sentences as complicated and overly punctuated as possible in order to show my immense knowledge of the craft (i don't know what half of these symbols mean)
