{Okay so a friend suggested I make this post. I honestly want to remind my roleplay partners that I am part of a system and I’m the only one who roleplays as this muse. (We normally share blogs but Awaseru is only mine) And I get embarrassed and I don’t come out and roleplay as much as I want to. Now I normally do reply to threads even if they’re really old but usually only with friends. So if you could maybe like this post or reply to it if you’re okay with me replying super late to threads. Because even tho I do want to reply in a timely manner I honestly can’t.}

Ability/Haze Snakes and the Children with Abilities .

Disclaimer: Now I only have had one Haze Snake and he stole an ability from an Ability Snake and I haven’t exactly made too many headcanons on that but I talked with my friends who first made the Haze Snakes that I am referring to so yeah.

Note: By Ability Snakes I mean Snakes from the Heat Haze with abilities and by Haze Snakes I mean Snakes from the Heat Haze that either do not have abilities or can steal abilities. In all my other headcanon/lore posts I will use Haze Snakes to mean both kinds unless otherwise noted!

Snakes can have children as I have mentioned in a previous post. But now let’s talk about the children with abilities from these pregnancies.

Normally Haze Snakes that mate together tend to have children with abilities that related are to them. For example, The Snake of Creating Eyes (Cosmia) ended up having a daughter, The Snake of Animating Eyes (Yukari). The abilities are related in a way. (One can create things from nothing and one can make inanimate objects animated, in a way ‘creating life’. (Except Cosmia and Yukari should be considered an exception since Cosmia actually created her pregnancy with her own ability.)

When an Ability Snake has a child with a human and they end up having a snake with an ability it normally is just based off of their own ability or similar in nature to it. For example, The Snake of Clearing Eyes (Saeru) had a child with a random human, giving birth to The Snake of Clarity Eyes (Clarithe). While Saeru can ‘clear’ other abilities, Clarithe just gives people a ‘clear mind’. So not fully based on her Father’s ability but similar.

Now let’s talk about the main thing I wanted to talk about. Some of the more... Special Snake Children. Now, when Haze and Ability Snakes mate together, they usually can either have a snake that has an ability, can steal abilities or do both. Normally those abilities are based on one of their parent’s personalities. Let me give a few examples with some fan kids.

Kathe and Aiden have a kid, named Abigail, now Kathe’s ability is The Snake of Satisfaction Eyes, basically the ability to make one satisfied with their life. While Aiden is a Haze Snake who stole his eye ability; Controlling Eyes (The ability to control one’s actions for a short amount of time.) Abigail has the ability Shielding Eyes; likely formed from her two parent’s abilities. In a sense it’s like controlling the ability to feel safe and satisfied.

Now let’s move onto Aiden and Ubau/Hitomi. Aiden and Hitomi have two kids. Emica and Arata. Both of them have an ability. Now Ubau/Hitomi is The Snake of Captivating Eyes (Know officially in English as Snake of Drawing Eyes but me and my friends like Captivating more). Her kids have the ability of Parroting Eyes/Ōmu Hebi (The ability to copy a target’s voice perfectly) and Breaking Eyes/Kowasu Hebi (The ability to break down and identify a target’s weakness.) respectfully. Now Emica’s ability of Parroting Eyes like stems from her ability to steal eye abilities like her father/his stolen ability Controlling Eyes and her mother’s ability to capture attention but it’s not fully confirmed where it came from. Now Arata’s ability of Broken Eyes stems from his Father’s need/want to break people down. Unlike his sister, he cannot steal eye abilities and only has the one he was born with. Marking him as basically an Ability Snake and not a hybrid like her.

Now the last dumb thing I do want to touch on, on the topic of fan kids of snakes is the Ability Snake kids.

First up we’ll have Sei/Conceiving and Kathe. Now this is a special case as their child doesn’t seem to have a true ability. Amai is a genderfluid child who only seems to possess writing skills of their father; which often turns out to be based on real facts/events so maybe that’s their ability.

Next up is Kaitou/Stealing and Ubau/Hitomi. So far they have three kids. Hiroki, Iwao and Aika. Hiroki has the ability of Obsessive Eyes/Semeiru Hebi: The ability to make one obsessed with whatever the user is thinking about at the current moment. It is thought to be based off on Father’s ability to steal thoughts and his mother’s ability to steal attention. But there might be a darker meaning behind it... Meaning thanks to Kaitou’s obsessive behaviours he may have unknowingly affected his own children’s abilities as you will see. Iwao has the ability of Consuming Eyes/Hikitsugu Hebi: The ability to drive one insane with basically intrusive thoughts that consume oneself. Thought to be a result of her Father’s and Mother’s abilities. But could also be because of Kaitou’s obsessive behaviours. Aika has the ability of Capturing Eyes/Toraeru Hebi: The ability to capture a person and make them come towards you. Thought to be based off of her Mother’s ability but could also be because of Kaitou’s obsessive behaviours.
