My name is Ale Peña Gorbe, and I am raising funds for my Palestinian friend Raneen. This is her story, in her words:
@raneen21 and @aooh3 are my friends. They are trapped in the Gaza genocide with their family. They lost everything in the bombings and are now in poverty and homelessness. Their 1-year-old baby is in a respirator; he has very dangerous lung cancer and they need to pay $5,000 for an extremely urgent operation to save his life. My friends don't have that money. They can't save him alone. But together we can do it.
Please, I beg of you, don't just reblog. Donate, whatever you can. All of it will help. Thank you so much.
Their account is vetted by @90-ghost here, by @gazavetters (#576) , and by @bilal-salah0. This Chuffed fundraiser goes directly to them; for transparency, you can dm @raneen21 or @a00h3 if you want to confirm it.
If she dies remember this post. Remember your silence. I will never forgive anyone who saw my posts and kept scrolling.
My wife is dying right now in front of my eyes. This is not begging — her life is bleeding away with every passing second.
Two full days without any donations = a death sentence for her. The doctors said clearly without money, she will not survive. No medicine no treatment no second chance.
I sit beside her fragile body, counting her breaths instead of praying. My children — Alma, Lama, and Lina — may grow up without their mother if you do nothing.
Save my wife now. Donate immediately. This is not a request — this is the final plea before death.
My name is Darius. I am raising money for Mazen, a Palestinian man from Khan Younis who is currently trapped in Gaza with his wife and six s
Ahmed's father will be undergoing chemo therapy on February 14th-17th. He still needs $513 to afford the treatment. The payment is due on the 14th, when his father begins chemo.
We have just 3 days to raise the remaining amount Ahmed needs and we desperately need your help to get it in time. If he cannot afford to undergo chemo, the cancer will become more aggressive and put his life in danger.
Please donate and share.

Grim forensic accounting by Gaza’s Civil Defence teams in Gaza have documented 2,842 Palestinians who have “evaporated” (leaving behind no remains other than blood spray or small fragments of flesh) since the war began in October 2023.
Experts and witnesses attributed this phenomenon to Israel’s systematic use of internationally prohibited thermal and thermobaric weapons. The investigation identified specific US-manufactured munitions used in Gaza that are linked to these disappearances.
It is with a broken heart that we have to share the worst news imaginable with the NGU community. This weekend, the IOF bombed the neighborhood of Yahya Al-Habil and his family. Little Omar, Yahya’s 7-year-old brother who we have mentioned often, was martyred.
Both Yahya and his brother Mohammed were being treated in different departments for the severe injuries they sustained from this attack, and did not get the chance to say goodbye to Omar. Their wounds were devastating, and both remain in very poor condition.
They now require ongoing, very expensive medical care, the sum of which for both their treatments is $10,000 usd. Donations have become stagnant and their situation is extremely desperate. Please help them survive and try to rebuild their lives.
Current: $5,480 of $15,480 usd—updated 12 Nov.
Need to raise: $10,000 usd

These links focus on Palestinian-run grassroots initiatives that will reach Gazans on the ground, so all of these except eSIMs, PCRF, MAP, OOB are by Palestinians. Donating to international organizations is currently not ideal, as aid is still being stopped at the border. Please focus on Palestinian-run initiatives on the ground in Gaza instead.
Remember, small donations always add up. Any amount counts, even $1!
If you are unable to donate yourself, you can even adopt a fundraiser campaign to regularly boost and make materials promoting it online, or print posters and flyers about Palestinian fundraisers to encourage others to donate.
So as it turns out your sense of self doesnt exist in a vacuum. You gotta actually use it and bounce it off of other people like echolocation to see where you are as a person and shit. So if you dont regularly interact with other people the echoes just get weaker and weaker and before you know it your personality is a blurry fucked up fog clone of its former self. which it sucks because this makes it really hard to interact with people again but yknow
the fastest way to kill motivation is to make your identity depend on the outcome. it's called ego involvement. when failing becomes failing as a person, your brain starts avoiding the whole thing. not because you don't care, but because you care too much.
you don't need lower standards. you need less self-worth tangled up in your goals. the work gets easier when it's not about proving who you are.
Just a reminder that people who still live with their parents as adults deserve respect and for you to stop being ableist. There are multiple reasons someone could still live with their parents! From invisible to visible disabilities, finance issues, and more!
Stop using the “well they’re gonna turn into a creep living in their parents basement” punchline! It’s disgusting. STOP. BEING. ABLEIST. STOP. FORGETTING. THE. POOR.
Actually reminder that some people just live with their parents. They may not have any issues. You don't need to justify their reasons. It's not morally incorrect to live with your parents for fucks sake. In some cultures it's even expected.
The usamerican cultural belief that everyone who reaches a certain age is not "independent" until they move on their own serves to feed into the individualistic focus of capitalism. That's why you have it so ingrained in your brains. But humans used to live comunally. It's not weird or off-putting or nothing you need to justify. It just is. Deconstruct your minds.
