About the āDoes Pokemon need Voice Actingā debate, my opinion is that after seeing the whole debacle with Hellena Taylor (VA for Bayonetta) and seeing drama with English VAs in drama, I think the Pokemon Company shouldnāt rush putting in voice acting or at the very least if they do, it should be Japanese only voices to minimize another repeat of trouble with foreign actors. Thoughts?
I'm going to be honest, I didn't know this even was a debate. Hellena Taylor made the debate about paying VAs properly look like a joke with her BS, and while it's true that she's not the only English voice actor to face controversy in the last few years, she doesn't represent the industry, and in general, I think if literally any game includes voice acting, that's nothing but a bonus as long as everyone is paid properly.
Do I think Pokemon needs voice acting? No, I think the games stand perfectly well without it. Would I enjoy it if Pokemon had voice acting? Of course I would.
