Listen I am so here for platonic “I love you"s. I don’t care if you think “I love you” is some sacred phrase to only utter to one person in your life, i don’t care if you think it makes me look overbearing. I say “I love you” to my friends every time I say goodbye because I want them to know 100% without a doubt that I care for them and love them and am there for them so so much.
concept: me, drinking coffee in a café in a foreign country. it’s raining outside. i’m reading my favorite book. everything is okay, and i’m never stressed.
I’ll never be really sure what happened, but when I look like the pictures I know we were really happy. I hope he still sees these things in me, because I still see the good things in him.
I want deeper connections with the people around me. I need to reach out more. Because not everyone leaves. Sometimes if you reach out, the person you’re trying to reach will be right there waiting.

I don’t know how to love in moderation
Sometimes you tell someone to never call you again and then the phone rings and you hope its them, its the most twisted logic of all time.

The Complicated Reasons Why Modern Relationships Break Easily
Why are relationships so hard today? Why do we fail at love every time, despite trying so hard? Why have humans suddenly become so inept at making relationships last? Have we forgotten how to love? Or worse, forgotten what love is?
We’re not prepared. We’re not prepared for the sacrifices, for the compromises, for the unconditional love. We’re not ready to invest all that it takes to make a relationship work. We want everything easy. We’re quitters. All it takes is a single hurdle to make us crumble to our feet. We don’t let our love grow, we let go before time.

i wish more people said that being single is normal
and you’re not going to meet and marry someone
and that’s fine
and if marriage happens, it happens. and it’s not the next big ticket to check off in life’s checklist
because not everyone meets someone they want to marry. and that’s normal
you’re not broken or unfulfilled if you are single
You are worthy of your own time and effort.
Reminder for bad days (via disabilityhealth)
I asked one of my teachers about praying istikhara–asking Allah to to pick something for you that is best for you. I asked him how I should know when my istikhara and my duas have been answered when something hasn’t been made easy for me, when it was made difficult.
And he told me the story of how he got married, how difficult the process was for him and how long and hard he had to fight to make things work out. Then he looked at me and said, “The answer to my istikhara was my wedding day.”
And it showed me how sometimes, things are hard, and you have to go through a lot to get something that may be easy for other people. But the answer to your prayers will always be at the end, whether or not things work out. Because Allah will never disappoint those who strive in His cause.
He’s not perfect. You aren’t either, and the two of you will never be perfect. But if he can make you laugh at least once, causes you to think twice, and if he admits to being human and making mistakes, hold onto him and give him the most you can. He isn’t going to quote poetry, he’s not thinking about you every moment, but he will give you a part of him that he knows you could break. Don’t hurt him, don’t change him, and don’t expect for more than he can give. Don’t analyze. Smile when he makes you happy, yell when he makes you mad, and miss him when he’s not there. Love hard when there is love to be had. Because perfect guys don’t exist, but there’s always one guy that is perfect for you.
