hi, how are you doing? i would like to know how you would describe autism in your own experience and how you relate to the general diagnosis of autism expectrum i don't have autism but it really saddens me how i know basically nothing about it and since you made a positivity post about Asperger's and autism i would like to hear about it.
Hi!
How I would describe autism?
It is like being in a foreign county. Like you have to learn the language and the customs because they are not natural for you. Sometimes you mess up. You have to learn another language and copy people around you. You hear more and smell more and feel more. So daily life can be difficult.
The diagnosis is quite simple because it's just answering questions and telling your story basically. The bad thing is that is really expensive so sometimes self diagnosis is enough I think. I did mine professionally because I needed proof to tell my family otherwise they wouldn't believe me
I was diagnosed at 26.
Hope that helps!
What made you interested in autism?
i go through the 5 stages of grief every time a plan is changed/cancelled
Hahahaha yes
Haha! Sad but true
Edit: (the depression and anxiety, I'm not sad I'm autistic)
