Kakashi and the 5 Times He Asked Iruka To Marry Him + 1 Time Where Iruka Did.

Everytime he asked he was injured. Bleeding. Concussed. Chakra depleated. On the verge of Death.

Iruka says no surprised and a bit lost the first time, increasingly more amused after but always with an Olympic Calm like it's an Every Tuesday Evening Event.

Everytime someone was there to witness it.

Actually increasingly more people witness it each time.

Bonus 1: the first time happened while he was still in Anbu and Iruka was still a genin.

Bonus point 2: Genma was the 1st witness and nobody ever believed him to his own damn.

Bonus point 3: Iruka never answers anyone (not even Anko, Kotetsu or Izumo) in a straight way because he thinks the whole thing is hilarious (prankster a day prankster always) and Kakashi likes to play the broken hearted maiden when questioned.

+ 1 Time: Iruka waltzing up with a marriage agreement and rings " I want an autumn wedding" and Kakashi gleefully snatching both while falsely complaining "maaa sensei breaking my hopes for a spring wedding? Don't you know it's the most romantic season of all?"

It's the last few days before winter.

Tsunade chucks a bottle at their head screaming about goddamn idiots ninja testing her patience while Sakura despair not being able to give them the grand wedding of her dream.

Blood's Sterek Insanity

So as I lie here in bed at 5:53am after being awake all night chasing my demons in circles, I got to do a lot of thinking.

I was not on Tumblr for 6 entire months, and my OCD caused me to have to go back to the last post I saw on January 1st. And it occurred to me as I feigned sleep that, barring a very select few (whom we all love dearly), there was a severe lack of Sterek content on my dash, specifically of the "art" variety (ie digital, manips, screencaps, etc).

This saddens me greatly and you know what? I also need to get back to writing so consider this both an attempt to get more art for the fandom and me getting off my ass.

I am proposing a deal for artists: for any artist who creates sterek content in any capacity (except fic) from today (June 6th) to July 6th, if you tag me or send me an ask with the link (if you don't wanna tag me which, totally fair), I will write a one-shot based on it. Kind of like a mini reverse bang.

I can't promise it will be amazing. I can't promise it will be long. But I can promise that I will do it and it will be minimum 2000 words. And if you do 30 pieces in the 30 days, I will write you 30 pieces, straight up. Don't test me (or do, means more art of our boys).

And this is legit a no-lose situation. The art is not for me, it is for the community. And you get a fic out of the art you did for your entertainment.

So yeah, if anyone is down for this, feel free to send me your NEW Sterek art and you will get a one-shot. As mentioned, it does have to be new as of June 6th, 2026, and it can be artwork in any medium - pencil, digital, manips, edits, videos, whatever. Only caveat is absolutely NO AI. I don't understand people who dislike Iruka. I have a friend who says "he barely does anything" and "he's not the best shinobi" (though we obviously can't compare him to Kakashi, for example). But honestly, the guy did so much. I feel like, even with the idea of being acknowledged by Sasuke, Naruto wouldn't be who he is if it weren't for Iruka, and that carries a lot of weight.

I mean, the kid had a goal, okay? But at least he had an adult who guided him and showed him affection. They make that especially clear with Gaara, whose own “Iruka” ended up becoming someone who literally told him: “Deep down in my heart, I hate you.”

I know Iruka isn't the coolest guy around (HE IS) or anything, but narratively he's really important. I still think he never had any personal motives for being kind to Naruto (unlike Kakashi or Jiraiya), and he genuinely became a good older brother figure to him.

Iruka meeting Jiraiya while he is at the end of his prankster era. Jiraiya gets caught in one of Iruka's traps (we all know he doesn't, but whatever Iruka thinks he does) and asks him about Icha Icha 'what would you say I make her smth smth'. Iruka's honesty shows maybe little too much and Jiraiya is actually taking notes (usually people that are good with fuunijutsu are also crative). After a conversation Jiraiya disappeares and leaves Iruka a book with Icha Icha cover, but inside are his fuunijutsu notes.

So after he finishes the one he was given (in his flat, because fuunijutsu is kinda forgotten and he would rather people not know he is reading some old man's notes (he doesn't know it's porn)), he goes to a library and sees 'Icha Icha' on sale. It makes him curious, his eyes shining with excitement, so he decides to see what's inside, but before he can open it, a guy with weird hair and more then half of his face hidden is staring at him weirdly. Before he can ask the guy is gone and Iruka finally takes a peak inside, but instead of fuunijutsu notes he finds a romantic scene and starts reading. It's stupid, so stupid, but so interesting for some reason he buys it anyways.

Years later Iruka, Jiraiya and Kakashi are in the same room, Kakashi keeps saying that he read the book many times and he still can't get enough of the ending and how the female lead is protraited. Jiraiya is like "yeah, I changed it last minute, because Iruka talked me into a new perspetive". Iruka is all red in the face, Jiraiya leaves right after and Kakashi doesn't stop asking.

They get ramen together that afternoon.

Arranged marriage / Fake relationship

Featuring: Rokudaime Kakashi who needs one more person on his side to have the majority with the Council.

The Hokage partner automatically gets a seat as per old time laws. They may accept or deny it and choose to leave at their own discretion.

Enter: Head Teacher Iruka as his spouse.

His Fake spouse.

Nothing to do with the fact Kakashi has a crush. No never. Crush who ? You have a crush. (Except don't he will have to think of a way to kill you hide the body etc etc and he doesn't have time right now.)

Cue: convincing Iruka to participate in this hare brained scheme. Get married. Regret the sharingan perfect recall ability because his husband (husband!) looks gorgeous on their wedding day. Pass new laws. Convince his husband (husband!!) to skip work for a honeymoon. Kick those old crone from their high seat. Make his husband (husband!!! Kakashi is never gonna get tired of repeating it even in his own head) fall in love with him?

Realise Iruka is in love with him.

Insert: pining Kakashi. Oblivious Kakashi. Long suffering Iruka. Loads of shenaningan. A Knowing and Deeply Invested Naruto. Some justice finally being delivered. All of Iruka's past student being protective, Half the village being invested in their lovestory and the Whole ninja population of the leaf betting on their happy ending.

Ok so at this point I've had two people roll up to me in manual wheelchairs, well, one of them was somebody pushing somebody who was nonverbal at the time, but it still counts. They asked me why I had zip ties around my tires.

It's winter where I'm living and we have really bad snow. And the snow plow people are really bad at their jobs probably because there aren't snow plow people who clean sidewalks. As a solution I got to thinking about how I could increase the traction on my wheels. And the most redneck thing I could think of was taking a bunch of zip ties and tying them around my wheels. They last surprisingly long, and work surprisingly well. It's basically the same premise as chains for your tires during the winter.

I chose to space them out pretty evenly so there's about one for every spoke. You could probably do more or less depending on how many you want and how much traction you get but I wouldn't go more than three per spoke. I realize that it's a bit later in the winter, and I probably should have made a post about this sooner, but I came up with it about a week ago. So please share this, even if you're not disabled, because there are tons of people I know who are stuck in their houses because they can't get around in the snow. A pack of zip ties costs about $5, which compared to $200 knobby snow tires is a big save, and if you want to invest you could get colored zip ties.

And you would think, with the whole reading porn in public and pervert persona that, yeah we been knew. That being ex-anbu, one of the elite jonin of the village, shoo in for next hokage would fill that need in him.

But no.

Kakashi likes to be praised. Kakashi likes to be praised for being good. He likes to hear that he has done well for thing that has nothing to do with murder and assasination and having blood on your hands and a higher killcount.

And you would think for someone in his mid 20's he has known that for years. Nothing new here.

But no.

It is a startling discovery. A carefully hidden shiver down his spine. Saliva filling his mouth and ringing in his ears while his heart double in speed. A very much there twitch in his pants.

It's Iruka's earnest praise and thanks for what he did (small, inconsequential thing in the grand scheme of the village), straigthforward brown eyes looking at him and a sincere smile on his lips.

And oh. Oh. He got out of that situation faster than ever before with a single head nod because that could not be good at all.

It's just the first out of many.

It's Iruka honestly thanking him for listening to him and Iruka's contempt after the whole chunin nomination thing and Iruka amusingly praising him for a challenge won against Gai. And Iruka's disapproval of icha icha being read in public and Iruka's hummed appreciation voice low and rumbling and dark eyes shining for bringing in his favorite ramen after a long night working.

And oh shodaime, Kakashi is falling Not thinking about it. Kakashi is playing it off teasing and poking in low drawl and keeping his lazy way. Hoarding every little word and gestures. Keeping shaking hands and beating hearts and shivering wants for more more more behind his appartment closed door and fortified wards. Swallow back the plea for more compliments, more recognition, for a chance to worship at the altar made of explosive temper and overprotection and kindness big enough to drown the whole village.

To help wash him off the blood that cover his body.

He yearns for gentle words hummed in intimacy. For salacious words whispered in secrecy. For an hushed voice in his ears sighing of fondness admiration and valuing. For kind tan hands to follow the shudders in it's wake and print them on his skin.

He yearns for that chasm inside to be filled and that's what keep him from staying away. Keep him from ignoring all of... this the way he wants too. Keep him from ignoring the way Iruka's eyes became knowing and still Iruka choose to stay. And talks. And praise. Doesn't ask and keep filing. Bashful at first but patient always maybe amused a bit. Never cruel or faked.

Yes. Yes Kakashi likes to be praised. If you tilt your head a bit and read underneath the underneath you could even say he loves it.
