I wanted to have fun with my portrait so I used a flower wood plaque. I took the red roses from my shirt and scattered them across the painting. What a fun way to end the semester!

Cool/ Warm Painting
As you can see I took inspiration from Sascha Braunig as mentioned earlier in my posts. I had a lot of fun with this.

A personal creative project!
My senior thesis was all about voting and this year marks 100 years since women won the right to vote!
I had to create three mediums for my thesis and because of the current predicament I actually had time to create this fourth piece which I thought was a really nice way to celebrate us women!
All illustrations are made from one line! 😅
Wowww!!! You did an outstanding job! It is so professional and aesthetically pleasing!
Selfie!
So one thing that a lot of people may not know about me is that I looovvveee sewing and fashion/costume design. I’ve been sewing since I was about 7. For one of my classes we were given the opportunity to create a self portrait using any medium so of course I chose to do a design! This design is a monster! 40 yards of tulle. Hundreds of flowers and pearls and crystals! I’m so happy with how it came out! Here is a mini photo shoot I did in my room! When it gets warmer and brighter out I’ll have my brother (an excellent photographer) take professional photos for me so I can put it in my design portfolio.
Hey all. I’ve been a bit distracted all week not sure why. Having a hard time focusing on tasks at hand. Here is my progress so far. I want to work on this so much more adding more details.
Progress✨
Absolutely wonderful! I wonder how many shades of brown you had to mix.
Here’s another image I wanted to paint.
Instead of focusing on warm and cool colors I really wanted to focus on a unified texture in this painting.
I love your use of color! Also your brush strokes are so fun!
Final result, abstract ☄️☄️
Nice Job Papa! The abstract shapes and the colors really pull this together!
My painting so far
I really wanted to explore different textures in this one and I loved how the sky and clouds came out along with the trees! I think going forward I’m going to add more layers of warm and cool colors. My goal for it was that the two colors would be in a contrasting relationships with one another
The little clouds! This is absolutely wonderful.
Quarantine Routine
Hey all. My quarantine has been a bit unique because I am still working (I work at an essential business). When I’m not working I’ve been home listening to state orders. Working at my job I’ve realized that people are hardheaded lol. Since my job is one of the few stores still open, people still come in flooding buying hordes of nonessential things. It makes me really nervous seeing so many people out doing nonessential things. Other than my job, at home, I’ve been thriving to be honest. As an introvert I love being home anyways. This time I’ve been working nonstop on assignments and personal work. I’ve even gotten into gardening. 🌱🌷 I look forward to seeing my little garden grow in the next few weeks.
Progress.
First I started with the petals but then I realized that if I wanted to see how the colors would react with each other I would have to do the background first. My goals are for the petals to be white but there to be green/pinkish light bouncing off of it. I am doing the first layers with acrylic paint, and then for deatiling and blending purposes I will go over it with oil paint.
Here is the pre sketch. I will spend the next couple of days deciding on color choices.
Sascha Braunig
Okay so before I get into my painting, I wanted to show my main inspiration and where I will be going with my painting. After reading the presentation, this particular artist struck my interest the most. Mainly because of her choice of color. Her subjects are unconventional yes but the use of color gives her subjects a new out of this world feeling. Almost like a intergalactic disco. I look forward to seeing where this simple flower photograph will take me. I plan to have loads of fun with color with this one!
Here are some photos that I came across that struck my eye.
The photo that I decided to paint is the 3rd flower with the many petals. An obvious mood for that photo is new life, growth, purity, and happiness. An unexpected mood that I can create is gloominess, electric and disco. Looking through the slides, the paintings by Amy Sherald Sascha Branig gave me inspiration to make it entirely fun yet dark.
I took some of the pictures I liked from the magazine and cut them up to make a collage. If u didn’t notice 😂 it’s and asteroid heading straight for a planet😂 ☄️ 🌎 planet is on the bottom left🚀 the black circle is the asteroid.
What a nice composition.
