Okay, I made a Dragon Age side blog:
@insufferablewarden
honestly given my parents whole [gestures vaguely] i am actually incredibly well adjusted
Goodnight people who get mean when they're nervous like a bad dog
You literally have to just get over yourself every day
I DONT CARE HOW MANY BEDS THERE WERE. WHAT IS YOUR BOOK ABOUT
(tearfully) w- working at the mattress store
i'm so fucking sorry. can you ever forgive me
I do love the form of literary analysis that is essentially, "If I were put in a situation, I would simply not have an emotional response at all, and all my actions would be both logical and moral. The character, who has acted otherwise under duress, must simply be a defective person."
boot up, Bitch
That reply is unexpectedly inspirational.

Thanks to @burning2know for tagging me! These are always so fun.
Last Song: The Old Religion by Florence + The Machine has been on repeat for the last couple of days!
Last Book: Beartown by Fredrik Backman. Before this, I'd only ever read Anxious People by him (which I really enjoyed) and was a little scared that his work was overhyped, but I ended up loving this. I thought it was one of the best depictions of humanity (the good and the bad) that I've ever read. He also just wrote this in a really clever way, I think.
Last Movie: In theaters, I think that the last movie I saw was Weapons. I don't watch movies in theaters often and I was a little disappointed with this. It was a good enough time with a good concept, but fell a little flat in its execution for me.
Last Show: The show I watched was The Mighty Nein. It and Vox Machina are so fun. I wish there was more fantasy television and adult animation.
Favorite color: Green... and it's so painfully obvious that people often ask me if it's my favorite color. Green bag, green iPad case, green clothes, green bag, green sneakers. I always joke that I want to be the next green lady from Brooklyn.
Spicy or savory?: Spicy! But the answer is really both because I am not a sweets person and I actually can't handle sweet and spicy flavors.
Current obsession: Trying to find the next fantasy series that I'm going to obsess over.
Last search: "Can you perm curly hair to larger curls?" My curls are limp, even when they are taken care of meticulously and don't curl until my hair reaches my chin and I don't care for it. Debating on whether I should get my hair chemically straightened... but I'm too lazy (and currently too poor) for the upkeep.
Looking forward to: Graduating from my physiotherapy program!

Ten Mutuals I'd Like to Get to Know Better
Tagged by @sandetigerrr !! i waffled a lot but i loved doing this! thanks for the tag <3
Last Song: I recently dug up my old sony walkman mp3 player from the grave and it's filled with mostly osts -- because I'm trying to wean off spotify -- i think i was on the Tenet album last, or deus ex human revolution.
Last Book: Finishing up on simulacra and simulation by Baudrillard; also simultaneously finishing up on the Assata Shakur autobiography -- and reading a lot of papers on phenomenology (Husserl), gestalt/gestaltzerfall theory and background research on human-machine interactive augmentation for an original story project about loss of ownership of the body once you gain ownership of a machine limb (highly recommend Electric Dreams: Sex Robots and Failed Promises of Capitalism which has nothing to do with my project but is great at explaining how robotics and futuristic sex fantasies when combined are inherently sexist and also racist).
Last Movie: in cinemas, it'd have to be Materialists with the girlies on date night, though I'm excited to see One Battle After Another in the local indie theatre this week too!
Last Show: currently watching peacemaker and gen v weekly; also rewatching the expanse because it's like the best sci-fi show ever and i have it on dvd (tried to get into star trek strange new worlds and stargate sg-1 for that hilarious meme: Hammond: "the united states is not the in the business of interfering in other people's affairs!" -- O'Niell: "since when?")
Favorite color: currently no colour comes to mind, though i did get a tattoo recently that is designed to look like blue ink scribbles in a notebook -- so: pen-ink blue, the bic variety!
Spicy or savory?: combine them! mix em up!
Current obsession: i was supposed to be doing my mass effect trilogy replay in prep for writing a "tv-scripted adaptation fanfiction" which would incorporate both paragon and renegade runs, and two shepards (i fear the tv show, if moved to production, will give us generic john shepard *sad face*), but i decided to try warhammer 40000 rogue trader, and I'm obsessed! the lore. the voluminous texts. the inversion of ethics/morality systems within such an expansive empire. the diction! the somewhat rudimentary choices-consequences mechanics feeling more complex because of an entire bible's worth of immersive, established culture is so new to me!
Last search: on my laptop its the article sande mentioned: "Forbidden Fruit: Ancient Near Eastern Sexual Metaphors"; on my phone it's... "the em dash was made popular online by fanfic writers before it became the ChatGPT dash -ai" -- I'm doing background research for an article I'm writing about alleged ao3/fanficdotnet scraping by openai.
Looking forward to: my day off so i can go for a long run (aiming for 8km) and then play video games after editing my substack article!

10 mutuals I'd like to get to know better
thanks for tagging me @scribeofmorpheus
last song: coeur de pirate: une complainte dans le vent
last book: ink blood sister scribe by emma tรถrsz.... loved it. i started but didn't finish to the bridge by yasuko thanh before i had to return it to the library. I liked what I saw. my mother ended up reading the whole book and we got in an argument about whether the book is a respectable piece of literature... ๐ but hey at least we talk
Last movie: I tried to watch the phoenician scheme but fell asleep in the middle. hashtag old people problems
Last show: Anne with an E
Favorite color: deep forest green, just got a new pair of pants in this color from costco ๐ this is how i know i am super basic
Spicy or savory: Savory. I enjoy spicy but my throat is weak and I'm prone to coughing fits sadly.
Current obsession: did luigi mangione do it? will i have a job in a year?
last search: "to the bridge vietnemese author" to remember how to spell yasuko thanh
Looking forward to: nothing brings me joy. Except petting my cats every day. that and eating fruits.

[watching the United States do stuff the United States has done throughout its history] No... This isn't what America is about... America is about some other stuff, stuff that's more comfortable for me to imagine it doing instead of this!
living in an environment of people you cant say no to is bad for you because you basically have to become manipulative to get your point across to survive and that carries over into non family relationships
Alex was recording, which was well within his right, and was shielding other people from pepper spray. He was trying to help. You'll hear people blame him for having a gun, which he had a permit to carry and the only time it was out of the holster was when ICE took it before shooting him. You'll see people claim he shot at officers, but that is a blatant lie.
