naokismh:
âWÇ bĂš shuĹhuÇng,â Naoki exclaimed dramatically, grinning widely at his friend. He was playing with him now, speaking in his native tongue to mess with Zafar. âHow strange our existence is. If we are not alive how are we living? Are these our lives or our presence? Our lives are such complicated things now that weâve died.â He responded, lips quirking up as Zafar rambled. âWhere would we go if weâre able to leave? Iâve known this place for so long I couldnât imagine leaving. The world outside was a place that I havenât existed in for over a century and, quite honestly, itâs pretty terrifying.â The elder chuckled, eyes shifting to peer at the window on the far side of the room. âPerhaps thereâs something we must complete before our souls can leave.â
Zafar stared in confusion at Nao. "Okay, I'm at a loss for words. What did you just say to me?" He knew that Nao was only joking around because of the grin on his face, but that didn't make it any better because Zafar had no clue as to what Nao said. "You are something else," Zafar said shaking his head in disbelief as he smiled to himself. "Even if we're not living we're still living. We haven't stopped living our lives just because we're dead." Zafar shuffled his feet trying to think of something to say. "If I were able to leave this place I'd go to my old house and see if any of my family was still alive." Zafar frowned to himself. He had missed his younger sisters so much and he had no clue as to how they were doing. Unless it had been so long that they were dead as well. Zafar didn't want to think about them being dead but it could be a possibility and that unnerved Zafar to no end. "Or we're just stuck here for however long we last here." He responded being more upset than he had been before.Â
jfcjoce:
âexactly. which is why we could do something about it.â she shrugged. âthis needs a change or something. i mean, itâs literally looked the same since i arrived here years ago.â
"or we could leave it exactly how it is. of course it looks the same. nothings wrong with it looking the same. the place becomes ruined once everyone starts talking about changing it."
blueyjpg:
bluey was moody too when she had first got there. she was upset. she hated the world, she had tried to die just to get out of it, and all it did was trap her there forever, her thoughts haunting her. âsâfine.â she murmured, glancing at him. âyou okay?â
zafar wasn't one to share his feelings with people he did not know. he was never open with others and he kept to himself. he'd rather not have others knowing how he was doing. "yeah, i'm perfectly fine." zafar answered although he wasn't being truthful. "are you okay?"
naokismh:
âShame on me indeed,â Nao responded after a moment, a hint of seriousness creeping in before his expression shifted. âBut, there are no lies so there is no end!â He cheered, laughing gently. Perhaps his cause of Zafarâs existential crisis, a saying that sounded quite dramatic to his ears, was something he should be more concerned about. Yet, Naoki hadnât had any sort of crisis over his death and his new life as a ghost. Perhaps it was the fact heâd been around for so much longer but the aspect of their existence didnât bring anything but wonder to him. âWeâre not even alive to live it, Zafar.â Nao responded with a grin. âWeâre stuck here though but for what reason? For all the time weâve been here as our ghostly selves what are we building up to?â
Zafar stared at Nao in confusion as he got serious. He cursed at himself in his mind realizing he'd probably said something he shouldn't have. Before Zafar could say anything Nao was back to his regular self and he decided it'd be best to let whatever that was go. "There are lies which means there is an end!" Zafar chuckled. âThatâs true. We are dead so I canât even be alive to live, but everythingâs weird anyways. So, that really doesnât mean much...â Zafar rambled mainly to himself. All of his thoughts were jumbled together that he was starting to not make sense. âAre we even building up to something? I just thought we were here for the time being until weâre able to leave and be free.â
percywtf:
â no i donât mean just this hotel. this hotels different for sure, like iâve read about the ghost that live here and you know you canât always believe what you read, but yeah. i mean there must be some sort of trigger that darkness makes us feel uneasy in place we know are safe.â percy shrugged, raising an eyebrow once the other continued to speak. â have you seen pictures of it back then or do you know from experience?â he asked, this would be totally freak him out if he was talking to a ghost any other day, but heâs oddly intrigued today. percy sat down next to the other, looking down at the paper â well what do you like to write about?â Â
"you'd be surprised what's real and what's not real." zafar snorted quietly to himself. why did all of the people that were alive believe there were no ghosts? he found it quite amusing because the people he was talking to didn't know they were actually talking to a ghost. "i don't know. i feel completely comfortable in this place. i know from experience." zafar answered not seeing the point in lying. he didn't care who knew if he was a ghost or not. "i mainly like to write about family stories. ways families struggle and how they get through them. i don't know."
ardengtg:
âlook, i know this hotel is apparently haunted, but iâm not that gullible.â
"i'm not someone that jokes around with others."
ardengtg:
âdead?â
"yes, d-e-a-d. dead."
naokismh:
âI just said I never lie to myself, which isnât a lie!â Nao responded with a pout. That sentence was one that would most likely start to get more complicated if Zafar pushed back. âToo much time, indeed.â The elder agreed quietly. Shifting on his feet, Nao rested his book against his hip with a slight frown. âA crisis of existence?â He repeated, âit does seem odd. The concept of death always seemed as though it would be a definitive end. Yet here we are.â
"Shame on you, Naoki. You just keep telling all these lies. When will the lies end?" Zafar laughed at the pout that was on Naoâs face. âYeah, exactly.â Zafar responded. He rubbed at his chin as he thought about how crazy everything that was happening had been. He usually only had an existential crisis when he was by himself. He always thought the fact that he had been here since death was strange. He struggled with not having any answers as to why all of them were in this hotel. Zafar was a factual person. He liked having facts and evidence to explain why things worked the way they worked. He didnât like not knowing how things did work. Things that had no reasoning behind them bothered him to no end. âHere we are. Stuck in this hotel. Wondering how long weâre going to be here or if this is our life weâre destined to live.â
ardengtg:
ârefusing to believe what?â
"that i'm dead."
apollotbh:
âplease, no need to regret it !! aw shucks, you are going to make me blush, zaf.â
"i've always wanted to make you blush. seems like my dreams are finally coming true."
wtvrdiego:
â why donât skeletons go trick-or-treating ? because they have no body to go with ! â
"ha ha very funny. do me a favor though and never become a comedian."
ardengtg:
âiâm not getting it.â
"are you not getting it or are you refusing to believe?"
naokismh:
âI would never lie to myself!â Nao responded, scandalized. Such a phrase was a lie itself butâŚthat wasnât important at the moment. âIt doesnât seem plausible thatâd it be so simple as weâve just died here.â He considered with a blink. âI guess we have the time to figure it out,â He agreed. âDo you really think thereâs a place for us to âcross overâ in? I wonder whatâll happen to us.â Lips curling up, Nao giggled quietly. âExistence is so weird.â
"But you just lied to yourself." Zafar countered back. "Yeah, we have way too much time on your hands." Zafar responded annoyed. They'd been there for a long time with no chance of redemption it seemed like. âProbably not,â Zafar responded. He had always been a bit of a pessimist; never one to see on the bright side of things. âI feel like Iâm having an existential crisis. Which is weird because Iâm dead.â Zafar laughed softly.
shutitmik:
âItâs called something a bit different in Russia, but the action is still the same. You certainly donât want brain damage, so you would not want to experience it, my friend.â
"Well I couldn't experience brain damage right now even if someone tried."

nikalirohen:
Nikali flicked the UV light on and off to show the color difference between a regular flashlight. âChecking for bodily fluids around the room. You never know what management leaves behind when they simply switch the sheets and vacuum the floor.â
Zafar watched as the person flicked the UV light on and off in fascination. "You can actually do that?"
jfcjoce:
âthis place is packed with dead people.â joey scoffed, shaking her head. âit needs some fucking life in it. cleaning up could probably help.â
"and all of us dead people aren't going anywhere. we've been here for forever." zafar rolled his eyes. "it's fine without putting life into it."
