RICHARD RESUMES HIS ACTIVITIES ???? OMG
arashi is literally a canon trans girl dont use he/him for her???
i’ve always known i’d get an ask like that, so my answer has been ready for a while.
i’d like to stress that as of now, the story material that’s out does not allow for a clear perception of arashi’s gender identity. it may be due to the fact there’s several writers possibly not consulting each other’s work, or simply due to indecisiveness or an overall unwillingness to take a clear stand on the matter, but nothing allows to clearly say arashi’s gender identity is one way or another. i’ve dug into stories and only found inconsistencies or blatant contradictions, leading me to think there’s no clear answer, and i invite you to check it out for yourself and draw your own conclusions.
i’m a firm believer personal headcanons are to reign free when canon doesn’t give a fixed answer to a question. given the prevalence of the オネエ/onee character archetype in women-oriented material, i gave it no more thought and wrote arashi off as an onee character. for those of you who may be unfamiliar with the concept, an onee character is a male character with “traditionally feminine” mannerisms, speech patterns and hobbies. onee characters usually identify as male, and the character trope is not about being transgender. i simply tend to associate arashi with that trend. the onee character trope is rather similar to the “otokonoko” trope and generally brings about the same issues in western fandoms.
of course, anyone’s welcome to have their own feelings and headcanons about the subject ! i’ve actually had very interesting arashi discussions with anons in the past, on this very blog. i think it’s very much alright for you to hc arashi as a trans girl, but please do not attack people by waving your hc as “fact” or by being aggressive. i’m also iffy about the fact male characters cannot express an interest in femininity without being labelled as trans girls by the fandom, but that’s an entirely different debate, and one that leaves a very sour taste in my mouth.
regardless, i’d like to thank you for your input ! - mod mademoiselle
Btw these people are the reason why I believe Arashi is a man!!
For context this person reblogged a post from a person saying they didn't like Arashi Narukami from ensemble stars being headcanoned as a trans woman. OP reblogged that post insulting OOP. For OP, Arashi being trans is the only interpretation possible. Try to say otherwise and you will be treated as an "enemy".
This is exactly the reason why I will always say Arashi is a man. You guys are so annoying treating headcanons like they are canon and reacting violently to other headcanons that conflict with yours. Arashi is NOT trans unless stated explicitly. Headcanons are fine but you need to stop insulting people who think differently.
I LOVE SAVE YOUR HEART AND D.D BY SNOW MAN OMGGG THOSE SONGS ARE SO GOOD
I do not understand black k-pop fans. They will complain about k-pop idols saying racist slurs, they will say that k-pop "appropriate black American culture" and will talk about the "cultural appropriation" in the K-pop industry, yet despise how much they seemingly hate K-pop because of that, they will keep being in the K-pop community.
I think speaking up against racism is pretty valid but also... if you hate k-pop because of the "disrespect" towards black people then... stop engaging with K-pop and consume elements that are part of your own culture.
I have seen people saying that black K-pop fan are "the strongest people" but I disagree, I think they are stupid because they are part of a community that they are not "welcome" in (according to them) and they believe that the content they're engaging with is disrespectful to them. Yet instead of stopping engaging with it, they will keep listening to music, being in the community, talking about it etc. Some will claim to be in the community and talk only about "racism" in the industry.
This is why I think that if you're a black person and the "racism" in the k-pop industry is bothering you, then you should not be allowed to be a "K-pop fan". Music is not for everyone.
(Before you comment that "you can enjoy something while still being critical about it!!". I have seen people exclusively talk about these "issues", so I think they are being too critical and hate K-pop. I believe that if you pretend to be a fan of K-pop and at the same time say things like "K-pop is stealing our culture!!!" you do not even enjoy K-pop. Even is the industry was stealing black culture (WHICH IT IS NOT), how can you enjoy something that you know is disrespectful to your culture ?)

MMO Junkie
Yesterday I finished watching Recovery of an MMO Junkie for the Anilist "Beginner Challenge" which required me to watch an anime that has less then 12 episodes. I honestly really liked it !
I'm really not the target audience for this since I'm 15 and am not a fan of romance in general and this anime is for adults, but this was good, I like the romance between the 2 main characters (both IRL and in-game) I think they're really cute together.
What I especially like in this anime is the main character, Moriko is honestly so funny and relatable, and though I'm only 15 I kinda relate to some of her struggles, like the feeling of not being "good enough" to walk alongside the person she likes for example... Fun fact the game they play is called Fruits de mer which means seafood in my language.
So yeah, highly recommand this anime especially if you're an adult I think you might like this one, but honestly this anime can be enjoyed by everyone ^^
Me when a racist person talks about racist things: booooorring
Me when a gay person talks about gay things: booooorring
Me when a normal person talks about normal things: booooorring
